RESTORING The BEAUTIFUL View That was STOLEN By BLACKBERRIES & IVY! Brush Clearing River Bank!

- Today we had a great opportunity to work on this very unique project a homeowner had. They have owned the property for years and used to be able to see the river from their home and enjoy its beauty. But as life went on so came the blackberries and english ivy and at some moment they came in and grew over the bank blocking the view of the river.
Due to the difficulty of this job they needed some help and I knew this was a job that I would love to do. We got right in there and started mulching up the blackberries with the Stihl FS-240 brush cutter. It was a lot of effort and took lots of energy and determination, but in the end once the homeowners saw the transformation it reassured me that it was all worth it.

I can’t imagine having that beautiful river view & just letting it grow up like that! I know you were tired and sore after that job! 😊❤
Removing the curtain of bramble definitely improved things. I sure was! 😁👍
what blade are you using for your Stihl I have the same BlackBerry problem in Oregon
Oh, I do hope grass will grow where those blackberry vines were to enhance the beautiful view you've uncovered!
I’m hoping for that as well! There’s canary grass growing around, maybe it will spring up.
A very lovely view indeed. Glad you were able to reclaim it and give them back the access to the river. Nice job.
Thank you Vyechaslav!
Wow, just wow! You made that look easy and I know it absolutely is not. They can now see that beautiful river. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
Thank you for watching Stacey!
I'd want a nice patio area and landscaping like a fire pit and plantings to help stabilize it from erosion. It might get flooded, but boy would I enjoy it the rest of the time.
Oh that would definitely look really nice right next to the river!
Is it just me or did the video freeze for a minute
Read your comment after I typed mine. 😅
It looks like it did, I’m not sure how that happened.
A great clearing and trimming today. Wow, a lot of work. But you got it done as always! See you on the next, Dave. 🙂👍🇺🇸
It sure was. Thanks Martin! 😁👍
Nice cutting Video got stuck. 7.40 to 10.38 Good effort 👍
Thanks Max! That’s weird, I’m not sure why it did that. 👍
Hi David! That video freezing and audio going was weird…I thought it was my iPad going nuts. Very nice view of the water after your work. Lol…I’m beginning to think that blackberries are the scourge of your area/state. 😂 Take care…👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Thank you for letting me know Lina! Blackberries are an invasive species, they will get even worse if not maintained. 😁👍
Waooo ! Increíble súper proyecto, que dejará este lugar más bonito, se requiere mucho esfuerzo y actitud y tú la tienes, bravo 👏🏻
Gracias! Tardó unas 10 horas en terminar. 😁👍
Any new beaver dam removals coming? Love those videos from you!
I have been very busy and haven’t had time to visit that area. Maybe if I can find some free time then I might give it a visit.
Nice job brother ! I felt with freezing in the video too .
Thanks Bryan! Yes, it looks like there was some kind of issue, but I can’t fix it at this point.
You have my great admiration! Do your hands really hurt after such performances?💯👍👍🌿
Thank you Jana! My hands are usually fine, but my right wrist will get tired after 6-7 hours and it gets harder to cut the blackberries at that point. 😁👍
wow wow you are a blessing human for so many old people in the community weal done keep going.
The blackberries will grow back, they are very resilient. To get rid of them you have to dig up the roots, or resort to chemicals.
What a machine! The weed whacker is pretty impressive too.
Wow! Well done young man, that was fantastic 🦘🇦🇺❤️
Thank you Mary! 😄👍
Beautiful video and the view is peaceful
The river is definitely a source of stress relief here
Such a difference and your choice of music was so beautiful and relaxing. Thank you....
I’m glad you liked it! Thank you for watching
Great job Dave. Thanks for the video.😀👍👍
Thank you for Watching John! 😁👍
I would burn the dry material after I’m done to promote green grass
Awesome job! Do costumers ever ask you to clean up all the mulch after? And if so how do you go about doing that?
I have had them ask what do I recommend doing after cutting down the blackberries.
My entire goal is to mulch up the blackberries into pieces from 4-8in in length and that way they decompose quicker. And if the area has grass, grass will grow faster and eventually will just grow over the blackberry mulch.
So I usually cut it down to where it looks more like mulch then blackberries.
If they need it cleaned up, then it’s a rake and a lot more labor.
Now that's a lot of property. Did he do the whole river bank🤔 Great job. What river was this?
Thanks! I just did a portion of about 500-700ft. This is a river in Washington State.
@@golovinpropertyservices aww. I looked at another video you did of the garden with steps and power wash. That's when I had to subscribe to your vlog 👍🏽
@@JustMeB729 Thanks for the support! 😁👍
I hope there is some place for the ducks to lay...
I haven't ever seen any duck nests or any sort of nests in the blackberries. But they have lots of other areas around here.
I am a representative of an eco hotel. I like your work very much. Unfortunately my hotel is located in Georgia.
I envy those you work for. Amazing work !!!!
Blessings to you!
If I ever get a chance I would love to maintain your property! :)

GPS, your #1 place to go for destruction of blackberries along the Snohomish & PNW!
That’s right! 😁👍
What are you using as a cutting head? I need to cut a ton of briar and blackberry back but I’m not sure what to use
What an amazing job you have done ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Sheila😁👍
If you hire a couple of sheep, they could knock them all out for good.
I'm sure they will, but there is a reason I got called over and not the livestock. :)
Boy, talk about blackberries invading and the ivy!! Well you sure tackled that job! I'm sure the people that hired you were happy. Anyway the job you did was PERFECT!! 💯👍😎
They were very thrilled! It reminded them of how it looked when they first moved in. Thank you Irene! 😁👍
Очень хорошо!!
Спасибо Татьяна!

New subscriber here .Looks awesome !!! Very good idea to use face shield 👏👏 . What state are you in ?
Thanks for supporting the channel!😁👍 I’m in Washington state.
@@golovinpropertyservices I hope you get compensated handsomely for your hard labor . It is rare to see somebody dealing with blackberry bushes by hand . Если мы переедем в Вашингтон то я буду знать к кому обратиться за помощью 🙂
@@BurbSK-bi2wh Thank you! It’s very enjoyable to cut the blackberries like this especially when you see the before and after. Хорошо, я буду вас ждать)
How many minutes do you get on one full tank? How much did you charge for this job?
@@JeepArmyUSA I get about 50 minutes of run time on full throttle with 1 tank. I charged $50/1000sqft for some parts and about $100/1000sqft in others.
Well done!!
Thank you Florence!
Wow
Yes!
Great job!
Thank you Nancy!
Hi please can you actually show cutting tool detail as I am in UK and have an interest in actual way you are doing your work. Thanks x
Great job.
Thank you!
what blade are you using for your Stihl? I have a KMA135R and the same BlackBerry problem in Oregon.
Amazing!!
WOW what a difference!
It’s huge!
grate job
Thank you William!
Yes it was worth doing.
It sure was!
A lot of work!
It was about 22 hours total😅
Living in the northern midwest a lot of people will have a controlled burn for those areas not easily maintained. Was this not an option because of it's location near the river?
Is there a way to make sure it doesn’t grow back?
What is the protecting gear on your face ?
It’s a Stihl face shield
@@golovinpropertyservices yes i see that but which one?
@@svetlifishing580 It’s called “Stihl Brush Shield Protector”
Now chuck ALL that crap (minus the furniture and other man-made stuff) into the river to be flushed away! :D
Is it me or is the video frozen at 7:57 for almost 3 minutes?
Very Good JOB Looks Good
