Apart from the incredible voice and versatility, what Floor really separates from other others is that Tarja and Annette were singers, Floor is a performer. She lives the song, tells the story, expresses the emotions and keeps your eyes on her. I truly think she is more in the Freddy Mercury league.
You know Floor was asked in an interview which male singer she would loved to sing a duet with living or dead and she said Freddy Mercury.

This Floor Jansen is really unbelievable,of course the band should not be forgotten,if you can reach a 77 year old Guy. Who never was into This metal stuff,Bravo!!!!
You know, I love all Nightwish singers. I think each of them brought something special to the band. But Floor has the magic to turn a song that you think it could not be better, into a spectacular, special, newborn song. That's what I love from her.
To me, this song got a new level and meaning after Floor's version.
One of my all time fav songs. Really liked Tarja´s version. BUT now this... Heard it now several times, first tears are coming out when Floor start singing, and when song continue, later it is like somebody is trying tear the heart off your chest...
When Nighwish is doing beautiful music, it is really beautiful. And when is it is connected same time to sadness..., it really feels in your heart. Music by Tuomas + Floor´s voice = a killer combination!

Floor's stock has always been very high for me and you would think it could not get much higher, but it did . When I heard her cover of "Shallow" I lost it... She just blew my mind that a lady who growls and windmills could perform a song that was so intimate and personal ...like she was in your own living room singing directly to you . It was so warm...and I have seen many a strong boy breakdown when they react to it . I know you already covered it here, and I suggest anyone who has not seen it CHECK IT OUT
If you know the Tarja version, this is good. But what Floor does with this reagranged song... speachless! This dynamic voice with the perfect pitch and all life! That is what musics heaven must sound like!
Floor is such an emotive singer that when she sings she makes you feel every emotion. When she puts her mind to it she can hardest man or woman cry. She's done it to me many times.

@@igors1208 Yes.. indeed.. Technique on itself is empty. But for a strong emotional person like Floor technique can help to make the expression of emotion easier: she can concentrate on the emotion where lesser singers would be struggling to get the notes out...

It was a light in the darkness. To hear someone else surviving such pain and creating ART. That's pure Hope and help. Sometimes ALL you need is tô know that someone endured the same shit as you. Maybe broken maybe not, but there is a way. That's what I fell when I hear this song.

@@felipegaldino9336 Agreed. This past year was a real rough one for me. Discovering Nightwish early last year brought me many comforting and joy-filled moments that kept me sane. So many people in the Nightwish community have expressed the same thing.

I love Tarja, she is fantastic and there are so many Nightwish songs she recorded that are amongst my favourites. I always thought no-one else would be able to perform them as well as she could, but Floor has proved me wrong time and again by making her own version of the song, different to Tarja's but equally incredible. And that is great for fans as it's like getting a new song that is as great as a favourite old song. I'm so glad Floor joined Nightwish as she seems to have brought new life to the band, but that doesn't stop me from still loving the other singers too.

Simply beautiful, you, Floor, the song, the band, everything!!!
I acctually enjoyed alot of instrumental rearrangements of the older songs. The slight alterations were probably made to keep Troy present with them on stage, but the changes was really well made and many songs was performed with double guitars etc. so it didn't feel pushed. What I enjoyed most with the Decades tour was the great vibe, everyone seemed so happy just being togheter on tour.

First came the chills of the impending death, then the tearful sadness, the calmness and beauty of a soft wind blowing, yearning for eternal peace as your soul is carried away, then bestowing your final farewell as you enter the afterlife. Finally someone who does vocal justice to Tuomas' lyrical genius. Floor is amazing in so many ways.

Its a wonderfull piece of music. All hail Tuomas. For Floor the point is she does not sing. She puts an emotional spell on every word that comes out of her mouth and plants it in you heart.
Exactly. Floor has so much personality and emotional presence when she sings that it cannot help but affect the listener (unless you are an incarnate Tarja fan and / or opera fan. But then it is more the technique and the sound you are looking for than the actual overall musical expression).

It’s an excellent performance. I need to check this concert out - I thought Wacken was perfection but... if it’s all like this... wow
Wacken is good. This concert is too - but different.
I like the song set from Wacken better. I did see this tour live and it was incredible.
It is nice to hear a lot of the old songs in this concert with Floor. But yes the set list was better in Wacken.
Some songs are definitely better than Wacken, and some aren't. Thankfully you can get both on bluray and make your own mind up😁
This concert is exceptional. But with the exception of Amaranth, any other song performed both here and at Wacken, I prefer the Wacken version. Especially Wacken Ever Dream. I think the only reason I'm not a fan of Wacken Amaranth is that I never liked the use of the audience to sing some lines of a song, I want it performed by the artists.
This concert adds so many new and incredibly well performed songs to my "Floor Jansen in Nightwish" official live collection (i.e. well recorded live songs that have no studio version with Floor).
Best song of the show for me, I think her voice is strongest here maybe as it is in the middle of the concert and this interpretation of the song is brilliant.
In Tampere they did this song in year 2000...still the best and most emotional live version. This song is very personal to Tuomas.

The Islander, Poet, and this song bring tears to my eyes every time I hear it despite hearing them dozens of times. Usually I break further in the song but when your waterworks started mine followed right behind because I could feel the emotion it stirred up. This song definitely doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Dear Elvann, your reaction was sweet and worth the while watching it! This, with "Gethsemane", is my "initial" favorite song from NIGHTWISH, and one of the key songs to understand Tuomas' lyrical world. Already incredibly moving back then, now it has been recorded with power and faith in every word that opens a new, triumphant perspective. In this version, the "boy" perseveres! :) And - I truly hope "Dead Boy's Poem" shall be underrated no more - if it ever was...
