Yeah I wasn't expecting that first we seen Molly become a ghost then we just saw her just eliminate the grim reaper. Thanks to this episode we found out that the only reason ghost had to scare people because the chairman feed on misery otherwise they didn't really need to do it. Just imagine when season 2 comes out they can explore Molly having the power to be a ghost
I wonder who the Chairman even was? Ghosts are usually people, so was he a truly miserable person? I remember when they were trying to have Scratch become their newest member, can you imagine if he'd been able to say "Yes" and then find out later that the council wanted to find out about Molly? Could he have stopped/stalled things?
This scene is so powerful it concludes Scratch's character development arc incredibly well with that speech and Molly's strength is shown at its peak. Every line was delivered PERFECTLY, and even if they could have done more with the Chairman, his defeat was still shocking and satisfying to see Absolutely love this show
I don't think he's actually dead. She might have justtemporarily destroyed one of his forms. As much as I'd like to agree with her, hope can't really exist without fear. Joy can't exist without sadness. Something purely good can't exist without something purely evil. So I think he's coming back someday

I just can't help but feel that there is going to be negative consequences for what Molly McGee did to the chairman. I know she was trying to save herself and Scratch, but from what I could see, she really didn't need to destroy the chairman.
Yeah, I thought so too. Molly essentially shook the whole ghost world with her presence alone, and I'm certain that this action of hers will cause an even bigger aftermath. I'm certain that a lot of ghosts will hate her and/or grow fearful of her power and do whatever they can to make sure that she doesn't cause anything more. Not to mention, her optimism might be powerful, but it can bring as much harm as it can bring good, and we've seen this happen multiple times already and how it affects those around her and herself. Molly is flawed, and her positivity can become rather toxic and overwhelming to where she even placed herself and/or others in dangerous situations.
I am more worried of the ghosts of failed phantoms rallying behind her and creating a happy cult because joy and misery must be balanced for the world to go round because absolute joy can turn to absolute tyranny
The ghosts may rally behind molly and may turn tbe ghost realm into a pure positive real where it upsets the balance of order and plunges both ghost and human world to crash into each other
I think I know how the chairman met his end, he is literally the manifestation of fear so when something as pure and good as Molly touched it destroyed him

First Molly and her family were about to lose scratch when the hospital bill almost drained their money dry, then scratch almost lost everything when the ghost council was about to banish him to the flow. Only for Molly to save him. The two have become so close that they’d fight for each other.

Scratch, a literal pessimist to the ectoplasmic bone, admitted to an overly eccentric optimistic girl like Molly that her view on life is correct and valid.
1:58 that line gave me an idea for an even darker villain for molly to face, he'll be genuinely honest, cunning, and somehow sounds like he's always right. Specifically I thought of a scene where he physically grabs molly (beastars chapter 4 legoshi style) and tells her about how she is so right about light, hope, love and joy being more powerful than darkness, fear, hatred and misery, he defeated her because he worked smarter (thought he doesn't deny she's smart herself). He tells her that neither light or dark can survive without each other and that no matter how much good there is, there will always be bad somewhere. He Also talks about how negative feeling get to people by crawling under the skin and how the humans are those who empower those feelings. Most importantly, he asks her what her view of happiness is and that it might not be the same for others and that she might had or have to make smiles by destroying other smiles.
Had a feeling she was going to start a rebellion, similar to how Nigi from Parasyte Maxim managed to get inside Garu and start a rebellion in his own body and cells, and it's what made it possible to kill him

This was beautiful. But now…what will they do with the series? New chairman? New plot? I don’t know…also, I believe that scratch and Geoff were never human. If you pay attention you’ll see Molly as a ghost and Jinx have a head shape and even a neck. But scratch Geoff and the ghost council don’t. I might sound crazy, but it’s just a theory. P. S. Molly is evil in a joyful way which I love.
I'm not a big fan of this show, but this is done pretty well. Molly changing the Flow of Failed Phantoms is a pretty clever metaphor on how your attitude can affect your environment.
This show is the kind of weird that only Disney can make you fall in love with. Molly is someone that I'd honestly love to have as a best friend, even in my own afterlife.

This was beautiful. But now…what will they do with the series? New chairman? New plot? I don’t know…also, I believe that scratch and Geoff were never human. If you pay attention you’ll see Molly as a ghost and Jinx have a head shape and even a neck. But scratch Geoff and the ghost council don’t. I might sound crazy, but it’s just a theory.

I'm not a big fan of this show, but this is done pretty well.

Chairman literally did nothing to protect himself. He didn't try to use his powers to reflect Molly's ones or at least make a shield. Nah, why would he need it? He isn't the one who scares all the ghost the most, of course not. He must be sitting in the chair and do nothing. Great villain, 10/10.
