Jesus is the Head of the church and to be Head He must be submitted to. The churches have rebelled against His authority and permit marriages that Jesus does not acknowledge as marriages. As Head He is to be obeyed and He said in Matthew 19:4-11 that marriage is between one man one woman for life and no man is to separate. To honor any other type of marriage other than the one Christ ordained is full on uprising against His authority (Matthew 28:18-20). This will not end will for those who rebell against the Lord.
