Not long ago I watched a clip on CZcams, where an unleashed bulldog attacked two police horses while they were on duty with their riders. The dog continually bit he horses legs and they got into such a panic that the riders could barely control them. They certainly couldn’t stop the dog as the horses were jumping around trying not to get bitten. Letting a dog off the lead in a built up area, around a horse and people, is so irresponsible and stupid. Anything could go wrong.

Those two little girls are adorable and I love how the dad is pointing things out to his daughter, giving her a bit of an education while they enjoy looking at the horse and guard! As to your very misnamed "Soldier Swifty Response..." (do you even know the English language?), the dog was unleashed at 15:21. The soldier didn't respond at all; the man approached the soldier at 16:23. An awful lot could have happened in that minute and two seconds. The guard uttered one sentence and walked away. I have to say, though, that dog was exceedingly well-trained, to have remained seated with people milling about. I do think the guy should have been fined for taking him off the leash, though. The world is full of idiots and many of them seem to find their way to the horse guards!

Oh? What would they have done exactly? Hmmm, Let's see:
      A) Horse spooks and tramples the guy kneeling down taking Insta-face-googles of his dog.
      B) Dog spooks and runs into traffic. You know, the busy four lane road right behind the person recording.
      C) Dog spooks and bits horse's face and/or legs. Panicked, injured horse: tramples bystanders and/or possibly runs into traffic/ slips on the cobbles and breaks a leg ( equals horse being put down so some smuck could get a pic of his dog without a lead).
What do you imagine the military personnel doing in any of these situations? Shoot the dog without endangering the horse or bystanders? Grapple with the dog without being injured by the horse and/or dog? Scare the dog away possibly causing the dog, the dog's owner and bystanders to run into the street and be struck by passing vehicles? What exactly do you think the military personnel could do? I'm curious.

I have a question. Do the Gaurds-Troopers prefer their duties in the ceremony uniform or Fatigues? The Fatigue ones seem to have more freedom of movement during their shift. (Well at least in the yard.)

We have had dogs that will go into the corral for a drink because they think the horses get "special" water, altho its out of the same well. The problem? One of our horses hates dogs, worse, yet we have 2 mules who both despise dogs. A horse will kick at the dog, hitting it about 80-85% of the time. A mule will kick the dog and not miss, ours never mised. My father-in-law trained unbroke mules for the army in WW2 and said if a mule missed hitting the dog, it was because he was so old he was on his deathbed. If you love your dog, act like it. Stop putting the horses and your dog in danger. You also are putting all the people, including children, in danger because you are being selfish and just want to show off your dog. Grow up, time to put others' safety ahead of your whims.

We’ll just a week ago I lost my darling little dog I’d only got her a couple of months. Four year old and she was the light of my life and she got killed by a guy in a white van. Going to bloody fast it happened before I knew it just like that it only takes a second. I feel as if the light has gone out

It's mostly the owner and rarely the dog at fault - dog and handler training should be mandatory and every owner should be licensed. These videos seem to be just more evidence of overtourism which is becoming unsustainable. UK national and local governments, and the greedy tourist industry, care only about their revenues.

Horses are quite capable of stamping on (and killing) dogs, and will do so if they are of a mind to. What if the dog had taken fright at the horse and run into traffic? Some people are just so stupid.

That was very risky and well done to the dog for being so well behaved, but the horse started off good too but was a little bit startled after sniffing the dog and could easily have freaked out and trampled the dog. Not worth the risk.
