It’s called gastronome because the word gastronomy means “practice or art of choosing, cooking and eating food” (:

Hello, I attended CSUF from 1999-2003 and briefly in 2005. There was absolutely no student housing back then and parking was a huge issue. I lived with my girlfriend in the Lake Apts and then we moved into a condo just a bit further back on Madison. It was not a commuter college for me. I still visit occasionally, but I live about 600 miles away now. A lot sure has changed since then. My sister, brother in-law, and former stepson are alumni as well. My daughter will be in college in a few years and she is eyeing CSUF. Nice tour. I remember when there were telephone booths on the first floor of the library lol. 😊 I should add that was for my junior and senior years. It took me 4 years bc I was working full-time. That school just pumps out grads especially in business. They crank out business majors like widgets. I actually regret going there, and the way I did it. I am from LA County and had no intentions of remaining on OC as I had become disenchanted with it. Most of the school's connections are in OC. Later in life, I attended CSUDH for post-bacc and tbh I liked it much better. However, I was surprised that CSUDH did not even have campus wide wifi even in 2010.

  • @gusmarquez1715

If you have only 1 college experience at the Cal State level I would chose CSUF though over the other local CSU(s) with the exception of possibly Long Beach State. I mean, it's the beach dude, but I guess it all depends on what your are looking for in a college and/or "college experience". I chose CSUF because my grandmother was diagnosed as being terminally ill with only about a year to live in 1999 (she actually lived until early 2008) and I needed to be nearby. To digress, I had chosen Golden West College in HB. So, I was already on the OC area, and I had a full-time job in Anaheim. In retrospect though...and here is the big thing; none of these are really great reasons to chose a school so get that.

Hi, I applied to CSUF for the spring 2021 semester. I really want to attend CSUF because I heard they have a great accounting program, which is my major. Do you know by chance if transfer students are eligible for on campus housing?

Jakeeee29 hi! Congrats! I believe they are choosing who gets housing based on people who need it most (ppl who live rlly far away) due to corona virus, but I’d call the housing office to ask!
