First impression at local bike shop, HOLY S***! I sat on this monster, more like mounted. The rear end is a bit over the top, BUT the shop had another with aftermarket dual carbon fiber pipes minus the plate holder. It was clean and impressive.
On my second b-king. Love every moment with it... just one note. The Busa has the B-King engine as it came out before the Busa gen 2....not the other way around!
I own one....I LOVE it! After two motorcycle accidents (NOT with the B-King), my back was crushed and I'm 2 in. shorter now. So I had to either get very thick shoes..NOT!! or lower the B-King. It's easy to lower, (about 3 ") and now I can climb on and blast down the road anywhere! Still handles very well, and just like the 'Busa, DON'T take your eyes off the road, or you'll find out what it's like to be in an accident !! It will "hang" with any bike up to 65 mph.
I have 2 muscle bikes, Yamaha Mt01 and Suzuki B king, same weight and stance, the MT 01 has a very low revving torquey motor which is mega fun and well there's the b king so much in common and yet so different, the b king can be ballistic or tame if you want, the MT is more linear in delivery, love both of them and will never ever sell them, if you get a chance to grab either, you will be bike heaven, keep them clean and well lubed and they will last a life time.
i was really close to buy a Bking but Busa08 won my heart after i ride both of them. My main problem with the king would be the air on high speeds. I must say though that it is a great bike!
Just got the B-King Sat. What power and handeling. Out performs my BMW k1200s (sitting in my shed with a blown motor) I'll never buy a damn thing from BMW, their customer service and not willing to help finished me with them. Only thing bad about the b-king is the wind at highway speeds. Going to get a shield soon. fantastic bike in all other areas. Love it. If you get one just hold is all I can say. WOW! Gets a lot of looks too.
Gents, all interesting comments, BUT the main thing is to ride it. I did 50 miles on one last week...in short it is magnificient. Easy to ride and flatters the rider. I'd just stepped off an M1800 (another amazing machine) and the B King felt like a 600. Love or loathe the looks - and that's your choice - it looks better in the metal and it rides like a dream. In 10 years time, like the Frenchies, we'll all probably have a 100hp limit (or less). Try it now before the petrol runs out.
Yes loo85 it is hard to clean after riding in the wet, but don't let that put you off owning one. The only bad thing on a b king is it's steering damper but it's positioned in a location that will take 5 mins to replace with one that actually works.
changing the tail/exhuast and the headlight would be good aftermarket venture. I personally would put a twin headlight like Triumph has on the Speed Triple.
Even without the proposed supercharger, it's too bad Suzuki didn't stick with the original styling. There was also talk of offering a radical heads-up display, which would be projected onto the helmet visor.
@bone2thebone how does it handle in the city, going in between cars and such? I especially like Honda CBR1000RRs and superbikes in general, but am thinking about getting a naked bike aswell because of handling, low rpm torque and comfort! That's why the Bking comes to mind, but I can only order it without testriding, so thats a bummer!
gas tank isn't too big. just like gsr600, the fairing (turn signal light fairings) make the bike look like it has a massive gas tank. no front wind shield makes it look even bigger
The video review captured the ambivalence I felt when I first clapped eyes on one of these beasts. Massive thing - too massive for my tastes, but the styling is intriguing, the power would be addictive, and the fit and finish looks better than Suzuki usually manages. I just can't get past the Bulk and can't really see myself exchanging either my ZRX1200R or Ducati S4RS for one of these.
Both like and dislike the looks. But would definetly not mind being seen on one :) Awesome bike as performance etc. Still not 100% sure bout what to think about the looks though. Maby the big exhaust and headlights are just a tad much, 1 size smaller would be better i.m.h.o.
Cool bike, just should have came up with a better name. Sounds like Burger King. Besides the Vmax is more powerful, and you can get chicks on the back.
naja er ist scheinbar schon mit der ninja von seinem onkel unterwegs gewesen. hat schon ein bischen erfahrung aber is seine erste eigene große. ich würds ja nich machen :-) ich mach mich erstmal mit meiner nsr vertraut....
its an ugly busa. bike is still too small for a tall guy like myself to be comfortable so the straight up seating position is cancelled out. ill stick with my strom1000.
all i can say gee that bike is ugly.........have a look at a 3cyl laverda... now theres a bike............how about some bikes with traditional styling and modern engines and suspension..........seems to be a competiton on who can build the ugliest bike ...even the instruments are hard to read and ugly
An excellent and well balanced assessment of this most impressive motorcycle.
This bike is AWESOME! My nephew just got one and put a lot of upgrades on it and it can FLY! And it looks so nice too!

My favorite bike.......I bought mine new in '08 and still love it.

Great Video about a great bike. Good camera work, very good cut's - perfect video.

I own one. The best bike I have ever been on.

That power is nice for passing on interstates, and this is not a race bike. It's more of a streetfighter/muscle bike type.
Simplesmente ESPETACULAR!

Wonderfull machine!!
Yes, it has the busa engine.
have fun trying to control all that power as a first bike
Top Speed: More than you need.
as i already answered above (in german) he has made some experiences on the ninja of his uncle. but its nevertheless pretty crazy.
i dont care what you say. i just love this bike. i would buy it if i would have the money :)

What an awesome looking bike, but I hope Kawasaki builds a Z1400 that kills it in looks & performance.
is it just me or this bike kinda look like the IRONMAN!
I like it. Looks like einhander...
Awesome....but i bet its going to be a pain to get this bad boy squeky clean after a down pour...
