Morricone wrote this music specifically for this movie for this scene. Tarantino lifted it to be used in his movie, but there just is no comparing it to the original source material. If you haven’t seen Revolver and you are listening to this track, you are truly missing out on the complete experience of Morricone’s vision.
Superb music and the lyrics in French are pretty profound and touching and reflect so well the movie. Let's hope some of Tarantino's movie viewers educate themselves a little bit, get out of their "so cool" all-USAmerican mainstream cultural bubble for a while and see Sergio Sollima's film (in Italian).
