- We travel to Partinico in the province of Palermo to visits the Mother Church of Maria Santissima Annunziata , museums and the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Ponte. Plus we stop at the Carmine Palace to see some artifacts and across the street admire the musical stage. The Time Machine Museum was also quite a find with a collection of photos from the early 20th century.

Voglio tanto bene al mio paese ci sono nato e cresciuto e non posso separarmi
The ponte or bridge that is referred to in the name of the church Madonna del Ponte is one first built by the Romans across the river Jato. Atop one of its side walls appears a footprint that is said by locals to have been put there by Virgin Mary. Nearby is a cave that is a shrine to Mary. There hundreds have tucked tiny scraps of paper into stone crevices of the cave ceiling containing their request of Mary. Some of my family’s ancestral lands are along this river valley.
That is so interesting !!!
thank u for sharing the great history of Sicily......have you ever been to the museum of the dead bodies in Palermo?
No we have not been to the Palermo catacombs yet
I am coming to Sicily unless things get too bad. I will evaluate September 1st. And on your recommendation I added Ragusa to our itinerary.
Perfect!
Frank Zappa went to my college for awhile . Mount St. Mary’s in Brentwood California.
Thank you! My family is from this area. Sicily is simply beautiful! Did you get to visit Borgo I Parrini?

@@YouMeandSicily Borgo dei Parrini is a little village outside Partinico that looks like it was created by Antoni Gaudí. Check it out on CZcams.
It's Frank Pentangeli's town
Isn't Frank Panteagelli ( the character from the Godfather Pt 2) from Pantinco?
Yes he was !!! Did not know that until I just researched it !! Thank you !
Is tourism back to normal levels this summer?
Not at all! But many places are pretty busy this August.
