Then after people start bashing him for trying to click bait, he states in his next tweet ”Idk why people are attacking me. I’m just trying to cover the latest sports news.” Knowing well that he did that on purpose for retweet’s. It’s on his Twitter if you wasn’t to check it out. There’s plenty of videos on CZcams of fighters in interviews (Rampage Jackson, Nick Diaz) that have told him to his face that they don’t like doing interviews with him because he tries to instigate beef when there isn’t any to begin with. Very similar to Rappers dissing Akademiks on Twitter, when they come on Everyday Struggle, etc.

There’s a reason why Ariel Helwani is banned from attending any UFC events or press conferences.

He dropped some genuinely funny material (Bow Wow, Tyga, Souljah Boy), and longer more investigative pieces. I think he pivoted toward this after he copped backlash for the War In Chiraq. However when he began to gain fame in his own right he became less of an observer and reporter and more of an active participant usually in the bullshit.

The comparison is there but the scales are far from comparable, though. Ariel instigates fights between PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS, Akademiks instigates beef that can potentially end lives.

Yep. Around 2016-18, just before he finished the war in Chiraq he was genuinely putting effort into content that wasn't just covering toxic material or beef. He dropped some genuinely funny material (Bow Wow, Tyga, Souljah Boy), and longer more investigative pieces. I think he pivoted toward this after he copped backlash for the War In Chiraq. However when he began to gain fame in his own right he became less of an observer and reporter and more of an active participant usually in the bullshit.

I think this was a thoughtful, well put together understanding of Akademiks. With that said, I really think the title is clickbait. Rappers all want to be on his page and have him report on them because they know their numbers will go up. The moment their project flops and he reports on it, that's when they start hating on him.
I used to love Akademiks channel. But over the years, he's really strayed away from the cartoony objectivity. Even when people criticized The War in Chiraq, I thought Akademiks got too much shit for it. He made fun of the people ruining Chicago.
