Dreamy accommodation and a relatively easy boat - it's a travel day! After travel in Bali for so long, today we finally take the trip on the ferry, well actually a fast boat to Nusa Penida, from Canggu. The Nusa Islands are stunning, this trip has been incredible and we can't wait to share the rest of the videos.
This is only day 1 from the Nusa Islands, probably 4 or 5 more vlogs to come from this beautiful part of Bali, but just starting off in Nusa Penida to begin with, before Lembongan and then Ceningan.
It's pretty simple to tour Nusa Penida by yourself, but a lot of people do come over to the islands on an organised trip. If you don't like driving scooters then it's probably the best way to go about it.

Haha maybe a little, the hustle around the ferry was a bit intense but nothing too crazy... hard to turn down some pool time in the sun with friends though!

That looks such a cool location - the bungalows next to the pool and the restaurant with plants hanging from the roof. I loved the way you captured the sound of the rain during the taxi journey. When you waded out to the boat it reminded me of a trip I took along the coast from Hammamet in Tunisia back in 1988 on a cruise to a secluded beach and barbecue. At the beach location the water was up to my shoulders near the boat. As a non swimmer I was bricking it I can tell you!!

Haven't been to Vanuatu, but have been to Samoa and Raro and the vibe is similar - veeeeery chill. We loved the escape from Bali!

Klook provides you with the best service in this aspect... Pick up from your hotel, a couple of water bottles, ferry ride back and forth to the island, and car service to explore a particular side of the island (east or west) all included in approximately 60 dollars. Perfect for a day trip.
We worked with Klook on a trip to Paris from London and it was amazing, next time we'll look at them also

Go to the rest of Indonesia, there are hundreds of things that you can't find in Bali like Ijen, Bromo, Prambanan and Borobudur. Don't hesitate to go to Jakarta, it has the best food selections in Indonesia. Just use Trans Jakarta and Gojek, you can beat the traffic easily.

these videos are so helpful! im going for three weeks in april if i only go to one would you two recomend gilis or nusa island for around 3 days
Happy to help. Been a while since we hit up Gili so can't really compare sorry. Gilis are probably 'easier' to explore on your own vs Nusa Penida anyway. Ceningan and Lembongan are straight forward though.

We can't remember exactly but it was a decent drive on a scooter
Too bad I was not able to go to Nusa Penida, I also wanted to go there for so long. The weather was not so favorable at that time in Bali, it was rather stormy. Hopefully, I will be able to go there... someday. Currently stuck in the PH and loving it.
Stormy would be a bad time to go over, not much to do other than lie in the sun, enjoy the pool and visit the beaches! Next time you should definitely go over, we loved it... stuck in the PH doesnt sound like such a bad thing :P

From Penida you can only reach Lembongan and Ceningan by boat. But you can drive between Lembongan and Ceningan

Huge amounts of local communities! It's got a really nice feel to it. Barely any restaurants and bars tailored to tourists, but there are lots of tour drivers etc, though that's sort of necessary for most people.

I used Maruti Express to go to Nusa Penida in 2019...the lack of leg room was astonishing 😂

Thanks man! The DB is an awesome back back, love this thing. But it is just one large space, would need some more padding and segmentation to be great for video/photo equipment.

This time you can do the outdoor adventures, mountain hiking, Mazury lake region, Kashebian region, Białowieża national forest,etc. I don't know if you are the outdoor types but Poland has a lot to offer outside the cities as well.
