    I watched Barkley in an exhibition game in 93 and it was absolutely incredible. Once he got the ball in the post - high or low - it were an automatic two points no matter how many defenders were around him. It looked unreal as if he possessed some sort of cheat code that allowed him to score with ease where other players would not have a scoring opportunity at all.

      @@andrejordan1926Casual, acting like Lebron didn’t start his career in 2003 before you was probably born 😂 Its only after 2015 and the 3 ball revolution that the game changed from less space, more physical plays, especially in the post, to now a game with more space, but also better athletes (Faster and more endurant) and more skills at every position especially the 5 and 4, so yeah in 2005 it was rough to play against the Piston, but Lebron still destroyed them almost every time and he wasn’t even allowed to drink alcohol for the most part lol, Lebron dominated in the deadball era (mid 90’s to late 2000’s) when the scoring average per game was the lowest and the pace was the slowest, and even against these so called tough team with guys like Ben and Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups or Tayshaun Prince, he had no problem…
      So just imagine what a prime Lebron would do to them lol, stop being biased and ignorant, and just watch Lebron highlights, just follow 1 of his fanpage on Instagram and you’ll see he is easily the best finisher ever, even Ben Taylor from thinking basketball said it in his « Best Peak ever » serie, and that’s the best analyst in the world, Lebron is the best finisher, driver, transition player, best at finishing trough contact, Top 5 passer ever, best skip passer ever, best transition passer after only Magic, and after 2011 he developed a post game, and by 2013-14 he was one of the best post player in the league, even right now at 38 i could hardly find 5 better post player than him : Jokic, Embiid and Doncic are the 3 clear cut best post player, and Lebron right now is just as good as KD, AD, Zion, Porzingis, Ingram ect in the post, just look at how he bullied Jamal Murray or Wiggins and Klay the last playoffs, it was similar to Charles Barkley, and right now at 38 i think Lebron is still at the level of a prime Charles Barkley and that’s not an insult that’s a praise, but for Lebron because it shouldn’t be possible to play like that at his age ..

    Charles Barkley was unique! He truly revolutionized the game of basketball. He was unique in that he didn't need height or athleticism to succeed (although he had quite a bit in his prime). He could match any center pound for pound and he was very fundamentally sound when it came to his post game and getting in position for rebounds. That's why he dominated.

    I came for this, because I'm trying to envision Zion in the 90's. It would work. Charles is 6'6" but he's bigger than everybody. Weighs more. Weighs 250. Zion's injured as I'm typing this, so he's playing slower... but he's still way faster than Chuck on certain moves. And he has a lot of Chuck's moves for a 19 year old. And he's arguably stronger. And Zion weighs 280. People wonder what it would be like to see a 90's big man play today. Um, folks, we're about to find out. Thank goodness for Chuck. Thank goodness for Zion.

    • @pwnedd11
      @pwnedd11 Před 4 lety +2

      @Tod Wilkinson
      1) Barkely was not all muscle. Look at his rear end.
      2) Zion, had a LOT more muscle than Barkley before his injury. Look at his Duke highlights.
      3) Zion weighs 280, which would still be 15 pounds heavier than Barkley's 265... and with less fat.
      4) Pre-injury, Zion was indisputably faster than Barkley
      5) Post injury, Zion has clearly gained weight, so he's now 285-290.
      6) He has more fat now, and he's slower... but on certain moves, he's STILL faster than Barkley. And since he can't run like LeBron right now, he's playing in a Barkley-esque style in limited minutes while injured.
      CONCLUSION: These were all points that I either made above or that were assumed above. And I'm not going to take the time to do research on all of your points right now, because you didn't really respond to all of these points... and I'm very busy right now!!! So, if you adequately respond to these points, then I will research the players that you mentioned.
      But with these point firmly in mind, I'm not gonna pull any punches... I believe that you are very wrong in your perspective... except for one thing!!!!
      Barkley IS top 10.
      Now, if Zion is a bigger and faster version of Barkley (something Barkley himself would agree with), then yes, Zion would transition into the 90's very well.
      Zion can also be LeBron-like, which gives you an idea of his greatness.
      You are entitled to your own opinions, but you have to be VERY careful that you have a correct perspective.
      The perspective you showed in your comment expresses a GREAT understanding of Barkley's game, but it expresses a POOR understanding of Zion. IN MY OPINION.
      I don't want to offend, but I don't want to pull any punches. Hopefully, I walked that line, here.
