I used to be a retailer in Kikubo selling ladies bags and shoes from China and I started with 7 million but in 4 years time I was out of business cause of high taxation, high rising rent,cost of expenditure in using the public washroom, garbage collectors and now am a security guard in Qatar. Many are going through the same situation that I went through.
All this in Uganda...

I grew up in kikuubo in the 90s and also started business after university but I never saw any tax incentives instead I saw bribes paid to ura and kcca workers ,What is the minimum capital a person should have to register for vat ? Which goods are vat exempt?
