I am Bhutanese Hindu. We are denied citizenship ID of Bhutan Despite living in Bhutan for centuries. My grandfather had citizenship id but ours was taken away by the king and officers so that we can't vote and influence.

As An Indian, I say that Indians do not interfere with Bhutanese uniqueness and culture and We should keep love and respect for them. Bhutan is one of a kind. I love that. It should live long. It may be weak in money. But it is enough developed in terms of happiness. We(Indians) have a lot to learn from them and are grateful that such an inspiring community exists closely. I hope India will keep growing and respecting the brothers of Bhutan. Thanks a lot.

I served in Bhutan from 1987 to 1999 and stayed in Phuentsholing and Pasakha. Very beautiful country and beautiful people. In my time there was not very restriction between Phuentsholing and Jaigaon
People could easily cross the border any time between 6 am to 9 pm. But now I understand the lot of restrictions is imposed for crossing the border. Our humble request to Bhutan government to look into this and make life easier for both the country's people.

I think if Bhutan wants to retain its ethnicity then there is nothing wrong in it. Their population is very small and if allowed then ethnicity wise Bhutan will become just like India... Bhutan govt vs people of Nepal who migrated to Bhutan centuries ago had a very dark and ugly experience. Bhutan used them as laborers to build the country roads and buildings but when the government felt the number was high to threat Bhutanese culture, they used forces to remove these Nepali communities out of the country which saw violence and murders mainly in the southern part of the country. Lakha of people were removed from the country as refugees and they took temporary shelter in Nepal. Later developed countries took most of them as labour force. Today limited Nepali people live in Bhutan who are citizen of Bhutan. Most of the Bhutanese people understand Nepali and speak the language well.
In 2019 when Maharashtra bikers stood on top of sacred Chorten(Stupa) at Dochula pass and disrespect the culture and reglion of Bhutan , govt decided to increase SDF (now 1200 INR per head per day) , compulsory tourist guide (1500-2000 per day), entry fee to any monastery is between 1000 to 2000 INR, entry fee to any Dzong(fort) is between 1000-2000 INR, if you take your own car then road tax is 4250 INR per day. You can't stay below 3 star hotel. These are the changes Bhutan brought in Sept 2022 to control the tourist flow and expecting "quality over quantity". I don't how long this strategy will work because tourism is Bhutan key source of income and mainly Indian tourists visit Bhutan. Hope Govt will reconsider these fees and decrease to a reasonable amount which will be win-win for both the parties.
Bhutan is a beautiful clean and clear country and has lovely people living there. One should have this in his/her bucket list.

Apart from this we as being a Indian allow them to tour India without any kind of restrictions but when the table is turned we have to pay ample amount of money just to visit a landlock country, it's not done! We are there backbone and we are facing this backlash! During the season of kal chakra which was held in Bihar previous year a ton of Bhutanese people came and went without any restriction nor they have to pay ..both the countries are underdeveloped if we want to uplift each other the barrier between the borders should so easy for everyone....

bro...do u know Bhutan is a net carbon negative country....and we are the 3rd highest Carbon emitters on the planet....the jungles of Bhutan even soak CO2 from India and purifies air. Plus Indian tourists are not very generous regarding the nature....most of us don't put the plastic bags in the dustbin we just throw it on the road on the other hand Bhutan is a very clean country there are no pollution. Most importantly they provide us a buffer region against CHINA which itself is the greatest help a country can provide to its neighbors. If Bhutan would have leaned toward CCP then it would be devastating for us. So we should also keep them happy to any extent we can reach.
No country in our neighborhood is as close as BHUTAN. Even Nepalese government and its people are doing few things against us....but Bhutan always remains on our side. Atleast give them respect for that.
