Nathan, I have been watching your videos since you were a student at UT. I appreciate you putting the videos up. I marched at Oklahoma State University in the 80s. I was curious, how many alternates are in the band? I see quite a few in the stands.
Humbled that you've followed that long!! that's a good question, I'd have to go back and count. It varies from year to year depending on how many we allow to be apart through auditions or returning members. Half time drill counts can vary depending on the show but last I remember pregame is set at around 252 give or take, so the difference would be alternates

why were they booing during stars and stripes forever?? I thought it was because alabama's team ran out, but they came out shortly after tennessee's team did, so whats the deal?

Not the entire team did, but some players, including Bryce Young, did. Happens every game, just unfortunate timing.
