They don't realise that we are defending them from China because we are right Infront of south china sea, once we fall, they will fall too, no matter how powerful their army is.
Although it took awhile but US govt eventually acknowledged our brave warriors, and best of all, the US rangers that we rescued in Black Hawk Down still remember us and said we are braver than even Pakistani troops, make no mistake, Uncle Sam knows how good we are, it's just our neighbours ego getting over their head.

Despite appearing weak in armaments and equipment, in truth our Geography is our true advantage.
We got the vast impenetrable jungles and mountains as natural fortress / defenses. A perfect environment for Guerilla warfare and operations carried out by medium to small task forces.
In an advent of an invasion from either direction and getting pummeled, we could withdraw to Perak and Pahang to reform a line of defense there.
But in the end we will be stuck and grinded down in a war of attrition.

To be honest. I'm from malaysia and this video did shows us that our military isn't that impressive but keep in mind that army in any countries plays a vital role in defending the country. Since we didn't have invading others countries in mind but i wouldn't said that ours are powerful but they are competent enough to even handle some war outbreak to protect the country. The military strength we possess now may be small but it is enough to protect the whole country and it is still growing as it is.

Also, the video totally forgot to mention about Malaysia's future military prospects (0:33). The RMN's plan is to change its naval fleet from 15 classes of ships to 5, the RMAF's plan called Capability 2055 (CAP 55) intends to phase out older aircrafts and reduce the types of planes from 5 to 2 for its fighter jets and procure new medium ranged air defense system while the Malaysian Army intends to upgrade existing equipment such as PT-91, K200 IFVs and buy or lease new defense equipment such as 155mm Self Propelled Howitzer, Black Hawk helicopter and Command center platform vehicle.

Our school were free since primary to secondary school. for the technical skill, some of the school were free, some were cheap to paid this is because the fund from Malaysia Government. As Malaysian I'm proud of my country for focused on education. We were not a war zone country, the Military asset in our country were used to protect our country only, not use to evade any other country. We defend our country to make sure our people and other foreigner in our country feel safer to visit and stay in our country. Maybe people will talk shit about our country such as doesn't have much money to buy military asset. As we can see, education and military asset which one were important? In future, the education was more important, because that century maybe we doesn't use human anymore in battle, could be used the AI and robotic machine. For you want to know why Malaysia is not intrested to invest in military is that Malaysia isn't -attacking nor in war mode- so they only focus on self-defense equipment, vehicles and tactics. They may not have the strongest military, but they have their ways to fight in their own territory.

note that Malaysia is not expansionist like America or other former colonizers. The majority force of our military is self-defense, threat deterrence, humanitarian aid, and disaster aid. As such, the soldiers are more trained in guerilla warfare and defensive warfare. A lot of the post independence army stories are all about chasing smugglers and communists in our thick rainforest. In modern day, they serve as border defense and patrol, ceremonial events, and aids. We have zero intention of colonizing through military might as that opposes our core national beliefs which is mostly aligned with the official religion, Islam.

For Air Force combat aircrafts, aside from Sukhoi Su-30MKM, Malaysia also has Boeing FA-18/D Hornet 🐝, Mikoyan MiG-29, BAE Hawk Mk.208, and Northrop F-5 Tiger II. In general, Malaysia’s combat aircrafts is a mixed of American, European and Russian made😂
For the Malaysian Land Army forces, the military strength lies not in the general infantry troops, but upon those elite or special operation forces like the commandos, as the geographical terrain and weather conditions more favorable for guerrilla and jungle warfare. That’s the specialty of Malaysia 🇲🇾.
Overall, Malaysia’s military power or strength is still very low or weak, as throughout the decades, Malaysia never really focused or emphasized on its defense or military might. Annually, Malaysia’s defense or military budget is lower or at best equals to 1% of its GDP😅 That is trace or insignificant😊

Lt Adnan the small platoon of 1st Royal Malay Regiment defended Bukit Timah against the Mighty Imperial Japanese Army..yeah the British fled and left the Company size to defend the key point, ..and later after ww2, We have to fight the CPM- Communist's party during the emergency 1946-1975, and then the Soekarno regime (Indonesia) that declared war against Malaya somewhere during the 50's,..and again the people were tested and defend the country....and not forgetting the racial riots 13th May 1969 ...and Lahad Datu...thats very close...But this region have very very formidable and harsh Jungle ..where if "WE" dont get YOu....the Jungle Will......Soo?...As the People of Malaysia...we re polite, smile...but when the issue of the Country Security...We ALL MALAYSIAN are VEry SERIOUS about It. 😊
