I love it so much and it brings back memories about my life in China, my life in Beijing.

this song was originally written to sing by virtual character, it didn't take into account the factor of ventilation. He is the first one to sing this song with 5 characters (little girl, knight, king, dragon, narrator) and switching his voice smoothly (not include the last two voice- baby & mother). Bravo.
It was an ordinary video game song, but Zhou Shen made it so much fun in an epic style, just pure magic

@@annsouren That was just an average show of Zhou Shen, those five voice textures in this song are not the best of Zhou Shen at all , in my opinion it couldn't even be counted in top 25.
Try his "Ring the doorbell and listen it myself" on Singer 2020 episode 10, "Always with me", "The Song of Paradise Island", "A bloody love story", "Big Fish", "Dear Travelers", "Red Eyes" etc.. Although the above songs I mentioned are not sung in English, they will still manage to spark your soul.

i stumbled into chinese music, dancers and actors about 3 years ago. and now i am hooked. you can see how fast they grow learn new skills. somehow it is about culture and attitude. chinese philosophy tells you that you can learn whatever you want if you practice and you are consistent and patient. zhou shen could not dance at all. he practiced his moves for this performance. he speaks 3 languages fluently. he sings in a lot of languages. he is a perfectionist and practices his pronouncition. somehow western culture could learn a lot.
Because of his small stature, feminine disposition and voice, he was often bullied in school. Never thinking that he had what it takes to be a singer, he went to the Ukraine to become a dentist. While there, he was convinced that he did have a great singing ability, thus transferred his major to music. Thank goodness he did.
As an introduction into Zhou "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and "Time to Say Goodbye".
For something different from him, watch his version of "Ring the Doorbell", "Let It Go" and "Monsters".

Thank you for your reaction. Your analysis is very professional. Yes, Zhou Shen is very professional, he is not only a great artiste but an artist. He enjoys his every stage and we love his live performances very much and definitely deserves World stages. A little girl, the narrator, the young warrior, the dragon, and the king (not counting the baby and the princess who didn't sing).

There was a dragon who brought disaster to the kingdom, kidnapping the princess and disappearing. The people were distressed and a brave warrior volunteered to rescue the princess.
The king, rejoiced, asked for his name. The Warrior's name is 达拉崩吧 斑得贝迪 卜多比鲁翁 Dalabengba Bandebeidi Buduobiluweng(and no I'm not joking).
Carrying the hopes of the people on his shoulders, Dalabengba rode the fastest horse from the palace through great danger and received twelve gold coins. He opened all the treasure chests in a remote village.
When he arrived at the cave of the dragon, he pulled out his sword to confront it. The dragon said its name is 昆图库塔 卡提考特 苏瓦西拉松 Kuntukuta Katikaote Suwasilasong, which was mistaken by the warrior as 昆特牌 提琴 烤蛋塔 苏打 马拉松 Gwent cards violin baked eggtart soda marathon (the Chinese words sound similar but mean different things**. I am *not joking*).
They had a big fight. Dalabengba slashed Kuntukuta and Kuntukuta bit Dalabengba. Eventually, Dalabengba won.
Dalabengba and 公主 米娅莫拉 苏娜丹妮 谢莉红 Princess Miyamola Sunadani Xielihong(facts, people) rode back to the city. The name of the capital city they returned to after defeating the dragon is 蒙达鲁克 硫斯伯古 比奇巴勒 城 Mengdaluke Liusibogu Biqibale City(still not joking).
The princess married the warrior and to avoid confusion they named their child Wang Haoran and apparently the child's full name is too difficult to pronounce so the narrator dosen't want to say it even once.("if you have to hear it then you say it yourself").
The End.
**So the names don't really mean anything, they're just tongue twisters which is why there is literally no other way to translate. And I can't believe I typed all that.
P.S. I heard (not sure) that the child's name is actually the whole song and the song is a joke about how in video games all the player names are taken and you have to think up increasingly absurd ones.

There are 6 characters in the song: girl, young knight, king, princess, dragon and baby. The princess was abducted by the dragon; the young knight told the king that he could save the princess; off he went and overcame hurdles; when he came face-to-face with the dragon, he made fun of the dragon’s name; eventually he saved the princess and they (now with a baby) lived happily ever after.
Needless to say, Zhou Shen's singing is marvellous.
“Memory” would be another song from Charlie that is highly recommended.

The hardest part is the 'lyric'... is very hard to memorize the lyrics... especially those longest names of the characters
I recommend reacting to Hua Chenyu too, he was on Singer 2020 and Singer 2018. Any of his performances are great but you could start with Nunchucks. Many people who like Dimash or Zhou Shen (like me) also love Hua Hua or can at least appreciate him. His versatility and stage presence is one of his most famous things. He has won many awards as best singer or singer with best attitude, currently one of the most influential singers on China.
Hi, I don't know if you've ever heard Zhow Shon's Paradise Island song(天堂岛之歌) and rang the doorbell to hear it yourself(自己按门铃自己听) and big fish(大鱼). If not, you can try it. I suggest you learn the lyrics before listening to it
