ORCHARD ROAD, Singapore Walking Tour - Singapore´s Most Famous Shopping Street

- We are on Orchard Road the famous Singapore shopping street located in the city of Singapore. This is a Singapore attraction not to be missed full of shops, shopping centers, shopping malls, exclusive shops with luxury goods and shops catering to people with a lower budget too. Whether you are in Singapore for shopping or just to see the sights, Orchard Road should without doubt be on your list of Top Singapore attractions to see.
This walking tour on Orchard Road starts at the Dhoby Gaut MRT Station and ends at the Singapore Marriot Tang Plaza Hotel. On the way between these two Orchard Road addresses we pass places like the Hamleys Toy Shop, The Plaza Sigapura shopping mall (which features the "Jelly Bean Family" sculpture by Italian artist Mauro Peruchetti in front of it), The official residence of the Prime Minister of Singapore (The Istana),The Istana Park, Casa Gessi, Orchard Central (Singapore´s tallest vertical shopping mall), Mandarin Orchard Gallery shopping mall and the luxury Mandarin Hotel, The CentrePoint shopping Mall, Peranakan Place (a Singapore heritage building), The Orchard Gateway shopping mall, Midpoint Orchard shopping mall, Robinsons - The Heeren (A retail store), Ngee Ann City (a shopping and commercial centre) which also houses the high end Japanese Takashimaya store, the upmarket Paragon shopping mall (housing shops like Gucci and Prada), the Lucky Plaza shopping mall, Wisma Atria building and the Wisma Atria shopping mall, the 56-storey "Orchard Residences" building, the Tangs Plaza and the Orchard Road MRT underground station.
We also see a Singapore Hop on Hop Off Bus (a good way to get your bearings in Singapore before you set out to see Singapore's sights and attractions), we eat a Singapore Sandwich Ice-cream a MUST TASTE Singapore street food, and view a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Rolls Royce and a Ferrari!

I love Singapore, I lived there in 1965 and 66 so I don't recognize Orchard Rd. as it is now but I loved the video. If I had the money I would go back for a year or two. I lived on Leonie Hill Rd in a small apt. building. One of the best years of my life.

I am French, I was based at Singapore from 1989, I have 63 years old, I go back to France in 2016 but I come back very often.
I live very much the way of your visit as tourist, no hurry, we have time, we saw things that Tour can't do.
I think for individual tourist to follow your way, the way to visit Spore as almost local.

We stayed in Orchard Rendezvous Hotel for a week time in Singapore...we went some places but couldn't cover the entire malls as you shown in this video...but we could sense the nostalgia of Orchard street...we returned from Singapore yesterday (04.12.2019) only....

Great tour of Orchard Street - looks great as does everything in Singapore, especially the food in the many hawker stalls. The thing that really struck on this video and all the others I have seen is just how clean Singapore is. I plan on visiting next year so cannot wait...

I'd always loved the red bean, durian, raspberry ripple flavours with wafers. They were $1 or $1.20 each only. Absolutely sums; glad you both liked them too. next time you're on Orchard rd, don't miss going to Killick street for the famous Singaporean breakfast at the Kopitiam.

I have visited Singapore, nice green beautiful, thought to relocate there but found not possible because living in Singapore is way too costly.

orchard gateway is another shopping mall that is split into 2 and connected via that overhead bridge.

FYI, here in Singapore every weekend at Lucky Plaza if you see those crowd, they are basically Filipinos workers that congregate there to meet up with friends.. we have a cluster of Asian workers that have their favorite hang out. Thais at Golden Mile.. the South Indians at Serangoon Road, Myanmars at Peninsular Plaza, Indonesian at Geylang Serai whatever it is, I hope you have a great times when you're here.
