Gymnasts who came close in no particular order include Ivana Hong, Lu Li, Nastia Liukin, Aliya Mustafina, Liu Xuan, Bi Wenjing, Kim Gwang Suk, Li Ya, He Kexin and Huang Quishuang.

I prefer the older routines when the bars were closer together and they could do wraps and more intricate things between the bars.
China and Russia does very beautiful work on bars
Victoria Komova is such a gorgeous gymnast. Fabulous routine.
You should consider adding Elena Mukhina (world champion 1978). She was the best back in the seventies.
That Komova routine was absolute gold
Yilin's feet were so glued to each other! Very impressive.
Yang Yilin is the best at controling those pirouttes that I have ever seen!!
Personally, I liked the uneven bars back in 70s and 80s when the distance between was around 2-3ft
in the routines where they don’t wear grips it kill me every time i think of it

My favorite bar routine is probably Olga Korbut's. All of the routines here are spectacular too though!
Yanhong's dismount is just insane! I don't understand how she does it!
The bars originally were set really close together (they were like parallel bars in mens gymnastics, but at different heights, so really close initially). Gradually the federation in charge of gymnastics changed the regulations, widening the gap over the years, because it meant they could see more giant swings (a swing around the bars where the gymnast is fully extended) and big release moves. It also meant the women could bring a lot of moves from mens high bar over to uneven bars. :)
