    Every explanation of this game that I read made it seem more complicated yet than in this video. Thanks for making this!

    Nice tutorial~ I have one question though, when a player declares (Point, Sequence, Set) does he have to show the combination to the other player? From what i read elsewhere a player is not obliged to show the actual cards to the opponent unless the other player demands it. There is some ambiguity with that.
    And you didn't mention Rubicon, that is when a loser (the player with the fewest points at the end of the partie) did not manage to get at least 100 points and thus gets penalized. Maybe Rubicon is a variation, not sure.

    Not bad. Have you thought about adding Carte Rouge, and possibly Au Cent?

  • @argonwheatbelly637
    @argonwheatbelly637 Před 4 lety +3

    Clarification: a capot (40 pts) is scored in place of the 10 pts for the most tricks, or, if you wish, you get +30 points over the 10 points for tricks if you take all the tricks. (capot)

    Can anyone please tell me has he/she ever met carte blanche in real life? To my mind, carte blanche (as well as carte rouge, btw) are too quirkily extremely rare features to be included in the rules of the serious game. I play piquet a lot - but never had to care for carte blanche. Thank you for answering!

    • @MegaPichu
      @MegaPichu Před rokem

      According to Wikipedia, the odds of being dealt a carte blanche is 1 in 1800 hands or 0,0(5)%. I guess you need to play more piquet and it'll show up eventually :)
