Hi TJ 8 years later, would you be keen to do a collab with me for 30 mins?
Whoa! That's 50+ mins of uncut taping. Speaks volumes of your experience, Mr. Walker. Thank you so much for your great insights.
Thanks sub!
Not only was this extremely useful but it was also interesting for me to notice that I found him to be getting increasingly more attractive the longer I watched. The power of being well spoken and presentable is definitely something to not overlook! 😂
Thanks Daniel. Please let me know if you are looking for more info or training on media skills
Girl u tripping 😂
I agree
1st bend forward to avoid double chin (confident)
2:don’t double look camera and reporter look at the camera
3:don’t look up
4:always have a small smile even if you’re thinking it will portray as you are confident comfortable don’t give blank emotion
5:move your head body and hands while speaking in a interview
6:don’t lean front and back while talking
Part two
1:have a 3 paragraph of your subject and also break it into three words
22:14
Great summary! Thanks for watching. I'm glad you got a lot out of this.
Me watching this like I’m gonna be famous😂
hehe same
You never know what's in your future. The KFC man became rich and famous in his 50s. Keep grinding❤
😅😅
It’s not wasted at all. You can use this if you work in corporate America.
We're gonna be famous, popular, rich and respected
This is great content especially in the age of zoom and teams meetings.. thank you.
Our pleasure!
This is an iconic video and one where the presenter begins to have an existential crisis starting at around 9:05. A true master steeped in his own passion
Thanks for cathing that!
No one ever expects me at the age of 11 trying to get or and media trained but I'm up to my options on CZcams so I came to see this video to see if it can help
you are never too young to learn these skills!
4:30 body language & mannerisms
18:43 how do you frame a message
Very very good. I’m a former Marine Corps Public Affairs Officer and TJ nailed it with this course / video.
Thanks for stopping by. Glad you got a lot out of it!
I’m a startup founder and can I say this is fantastic! Thanks so much TJ

--How to Look Your Best

--Framing a Message for a Media Interview
18:36
--Answering Questions
27:00
--Sound Bites

The abridged version of my notes.
*How to Look Your Best*
3:40
-Don't be stiff, move a little. Don't rush. Wear clothes consistent with your message.
*Framing a Message for a Media Interview*
18:36
-Craft 3 messages before an interview, no longer than 10 words each. To be effective each messages content needs to pertain to your interests, the interviews interests, and the audience of their media outlets interests. Each message must also be able to stand alone.
*Answering Questions*
27:00
-Don't just ignore the question, rewrite the question in your head to make it easier on you. Answer the question that takes you back to your messages fastest. Reiterate your messages.
*Sound Bites*
40:08
Sound bites are perspective on the facts. Reporters like quoting attacks, absolutes, and humor. Also what's bold and emotional, as well as Retorical Questions, and what makes ideas more relatable and understandable.
Thank you!
I've just relaunched and revamped my communication skills CZcams Channel. Can You please give me feedback? czcams.com/users/mediatraining
thanks!
Okay hands down the is the best 54 minute video ever. I have an invitation to be on TV soon and was just mortified about it before seeing TJ Walker speak. I'm still a little nervous but I will be implementing these tips and plan to take the course right away.
Thanks for your kind comments. I hope your tv interview went well!
This video helped me successfully launch my company, Prestige Worldwide.
Thank you Jake! Happy you found it useful! Please share with your family friends. It may help them as well.
Perfect for youtubers and entertainers
Thanks. are you either one?
This is amazing. As an artist manager, I'm going to start showing my new artists this before they do an in-person session
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you found the video helpful for your new artists.
OMG! I totally did the wrong thing when I was interviewed at a protest last year! I kept looking at the reporter, then camera, the reporter, then camera! So frazzled! Thank you for explaining what to do so well!
Olga, don't worry about the past. I've had bad interviews too. When is your next interview? Let's make that great!
Detailed and comprehensive media training so far !!! 🙂
Thanks! Please let me know if you need any books or courses on the subject.
Just come across this vid. Loved it! Could you do one on how to answer relationship questions please? And personal questions in general
Hi Eniola, I will give that some thought. thanks for the suggestion
this was so appreciated thank you so much. I'm an aspiring singer/songwriter,but independent so (No artist development or backing from a major label) no media training so this is great help! it actually confirms a few thimgs i thought in my gead which makes me agree with you on syressing the fact that you have to be relaxed and confident to be believable. I'm wondering if you can do one for musicians and up and coming musicians, you know the interviews you can find of super stars when they were local, that would be cool. serious inquiry, when I do my first interview I'll have u to thank! 😀
I really wanna learn how to answer the am I in a relationship question without telling them I am lol 😂😂
Thanks Jane. I now post of my media training and presentation training tips videos on my facebook page at facebook.com/tjwalkerspeaktoinfluence Please check it out
I can teach you how to do that. courses.mediatrainingworldwide.com/courses/media-training-how-to-speak-to-the-news-media-effectively
Very relevant, even 6 years later. TJ, thanks for sharing some incredibly valuable information. 😀
My pleasure!
Awesome video, and all in one take! Unreal!
Thanks Lieberscott. Yes it was all in one take, thanks for noticing. But it's not really that hard. Think about every lecture you ever heard from any teacher-they did everything in one take too. It's just talking. People tend to overthink anything to do with video.
I always say that wisdom equals 'SIMPLICITY'. Awesome! Thanks!
Thanks!
wow definitely pulls back the curtain on alot of public speakers, thanks.
RJ, thanks a lot!
Brilliant advice, the depth of experience is obvious
Thanks Chris. Do you do any media training yourself??
I love this Media training so much
Thanks Gala. Do you have any upcoming media interviews?
I have an interview coming up and I stumbled across your video I im only half way through and I see so many mistakes I made, such as not showing my hands, second wearing a black jacket with a white shirt. I will stop there. Thank you so much. Oh and sitting back in the chair was another one.
I'm glad you found my video helpful! It's never too late to learn from your mistakes and improve for your upcoming interview. Good luck!
As the spokeswoman and lead vocalist for Nuclear Applepants working on a zero budget right- now is definitely my way of life. Thank you SO MUCH for ALL of the helpful information included in this. Camille Barbone instructed me to research online and I've got so much to work with out of this. Again; THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Hi Mel! thanks for stopping by!
Great tips! made me feel more comfortable for my press interview. Thank you so much Walker, you are so right! God bless you.

What did he say
Here from Mastering Communication and Public Speaking skill course. Your teachings are simple and easy to understand. Before the end of the course I was already imagining myself taking action. And yes, I will take the action. Thanks Mr TJ Walker
Thanks. I'm glad you are getting a lot out of it. Where are you currently putting these skills to work?
I will be famous one day so I’m getting a head start on my media training now. Thanks!
any other future celebrity's here?
Thanks for stopping by.
I think this is more useful than ever in times of social media.
Thanks Puppies I am thinking of doing a part 2 to update this video. Would you watch?
@@TJWalkerSuccess For sure! A video more focused on social media and stuff would be very useful to many ppl.
I will do that soon@@PuppiesAreNice.
I am in one of your online training programs, and I am impressed with the comprehensive, and succinct, nature of your training. You seem to know it all, and also are quite organized in presenting the information in a logical manner. Though perhaps not "PC", I know speaking is different for men and women, because I have found that response to me being "firm" reads as being "mean", whereas in a man he would come across as intense or forceful. Can you give gender specific tips? Thanks!
+Debbie Tudor Hi Debbie. I will address this soon. thanks for writing
Found this interesting although I listened to something similar to this in my udemy class
Thank you!
This was exactly what I was interested in knowing about. So thank you.
Jan, thanks for stopping by. apologies for not reaching out sooner. Have you had any media interviews lately?
Fantastic video! Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Thanks!
This is pure gold. Thanks so much for this TJ. God bless you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great tutorial. Very useful. Thank you. For women and men things are not the same through. People always focus on what women wear even in corporate world. How to strengthen the message in that case?
Apologies for missing your comment 10 months ago. You bring up a good point. I will try to do a video on that soon.
I think I need media training for just like day-to-day
We have online and in-person courses for that. please contact me from my website.

I appreciate your kind words, thank you!
If the reporter is good, the message they want and the message their audience wants should be the same thing.
A very generously shared summary.
Thank you!
i would to have a career in acting, but i need to have a degree. i think media is the one for me!

Amazing, thank you very much for this video.
You're very welcome!
Wow, thank you TJ. Great help. Now... I just have to develop my skills at being interviewed as well as you demonstrate in this video.
You got this!
I’m watching this after the Fox News interview with the anti-work Reddit moderator. The interviewee was wearing a black sweatshirt that blended with the chair they were sitting on, avoided eye contact with the camera like it was the plague, looked overall evasive.
It’s an interesting case study.
Thanks Po! Thanks again that you found the video useful. Let me know more study if you found related.
Here for the same reason.
Thanks!
Thanks, TJ for this video it helps a lot
Thanks!

You are welcome Juan!
this is sooo helpful even years later as a musical artist what should my 3 points be? obviously 1 would be promoting my album but I don't know what the rest would be
I can't tell you what your 3 points should be, but I now if you try to communicate more than that, you aren't likely to be successful. I do consult with musicians from time to time on messaging and media skills. If you think this m ight be helpful, then please schedule a call. calendly.com/mtwtraining/15?month=2023-08

Thanks. Please tell how best to sit if you are filmed sideways?
Best to lean toward the camera or interviewer or both
I am media trained to talk to other people, but not media trained for a camera and I don’t do interviews. I can choose to not follow media training if I want because I can do whatever I want.
