Sneha Didi, I always annotate my Kindle ebooks by highlighting certain sections and adding notes. For physical books, I usually dog ear the pages and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. I particularly highlight quotes that capture ideas that I would want to express in my own writing. I took a terrible class in school this year, which has negatively impacted my writing and productivity. I have been writing poems and flash fiction as well as a short story, A Little Cup of Tea this month. I need to get back to my historical fiction novel because I miss the adventures that my protagonist takes me on. I scarcely have any time to write on the weekdays, but I am prolific on the weekends and Friday is the best day of the week for me. I love you

Sneha, I actually had lost my connection with books but after much deliberation I bought this book keeping the dead by tess gerritsen after watching you praise it to be one of your favourite thrillers. And boy! I loved that book. I have bought/read 5-6 more books from the same series. I have found this attraction towards tess gerritsen’s writings. Thanks to you, i found my way back with books.

I personally find multiple sticky notes within the book quite clumsy, plus sometimes the bigger sticky notes hide the text.
I take highlights with a pencil and write that page number at the back of the book or on the page bookmark.
highlighted page numbers (and optionally their line numbers) with single asterisk have important highlights, rest are usual.
A little more effort but I like it that way.
And I just saw your take on "12 Rules for Life". It was the first non-fiction I read and it launched me in psychotherapy and philosophy since past year I have read like fifteen such books all because of that book.

@@bookjunction There one like "Consolations of philosophy" by Alain de Botton. Anyone who doesn't read too much of philosophy can easily like this one I guess.
And if you're interested in stoicism, you can read Discourses by Epictetus.

Hey sneha dear...I had already read some good amount of books...and i used to make summary notes in a diary... But over a period of time i realised that it's a very time-consuming process... I felt like coz i had made that summary in a wrong way... Yes i had...
But afterwards i realised that summary is important coz i can't remember what i had read few months before...
And you know something... Today i started making summary notes... AGAIN...
And this video is of great help... 🥰

Have you read this book? If you've not then please give it a try... It is not that famous so I can't find reviews or videos about it either.
