Today I am Cleaning and organizing some cabinets in my Disaster kitchen, which I just had a makeover of.. So it is a mess, we will deep clean all the spots, unpack the groceries, organize a few cabinets, like pot and pan one, and I hope you will get a ton of cleaning motivation!!!

Love it without the organizer ❤
Hi Jenia , your kitchen looks much better without the sink organizer ❤️
I have been both a working mom and a SAHM when my husband travel for work for long periods each year. Each has its own challenges but I found that when all of us (4 children) being home all day when I was a SAHM my house was messier than when I worked and my children were at school and or daycare. I was constantly picking things up/tidying all day, toys, arts and crafts, furniture cushions etc. Weekends when I was working were spent in and out of the house with errands and playing out doors or just wandering a mall etc. so there were usually no long days of free for all messes. Being home all day really creates a big mess.
I did contain everyone to the main level (family room and kitchen) so once we got up dressed, beds made and went down for breakfast I put a baby gate at the stairs so nobody went upstairs to make a mess up there. At bedtime we did a quick tidy of toys or stuffed animals so nothing was on the floor for safety reasons and it would be already clean in the morning, bonus.
One tip for the kitchen messes, use the touch it once rule, do not just put items into and pile up the sink but rather put them directly into the dishwasher. When you are done with a utensil or pot or pan from cooking or baking immediately wash it dry it and put it away or into the dishwasher and put empty packages and wrappers into the garbage right way. Think Hot Potato and do something with it right away. Empty the clean dishwasher as soon as you can so dirty items can go right in instead of the sink. When I am cooking or baking as soon as I am done with an item i.e. spices/seasonings or liquids I put it back where it belongs, I do not wait until the process is all done or until we are finished eating to tidy up. This all took years of working it out (my youngest is 28 years old.) On best days I run the dishwasher directly after dinner and empty it before I go to bed, day is done and ready for the next day of dirty dishes. (Any after dinner snacks dishes or cups get placed neatly next to my sink until I empty the dishwasher before I go to bed.)
I realize CZcamsrs need content to film and the bigger the mess seems to get more views but just keep working on a plan and process to come up with something that works for you personally. No hard and fast rules just targets to aim for. Routines change and you just have to adapt as best you can.
Hi! Great message and advice! I agree with the dishwasher rule, but I try to empty it in the morning while kids are having breakfast and then have 1-2 more loads throughout the day. So, "hot potato" rule might be applied a bit better here, just need to work on that hahaha!
I like that you "contained" everyone in one area so that there is no mess everywhere. May be I'll try that too.
We now live in a bigger house and it is much harder to
clean it all every day.. 😊
I wonder just how harder it will get with not 2 but 4 kids all of a sudden 😃

Definitely without the organiser. The kitchen looks bigger & lighter. White kitchen all the way. I can keep it so clean now that the dirt is visible.
I worked full time as a nurse when my kids were young. It was hard but could not have done it without my hubby. We shared everything. Child care, cooking, housework, gardening and they both played inline hockey so nearly every weekend was booked, plus training! We just got on with it, but looking back…..Oh well. We did our best. Lx ❤

Hello Jenia, that was a wonderful video. I think you’re kitchen looks more clean and crisp without the sink organizer, it kind of makes it look cluttered. I am in the process of decluttering my home as well. You can buy a wooden potato and onion bin they are more sturdy. I hope you have a very blessed weekend 🥰♥️🌹🦋

I like Instant coffee better. I find the brewed coffee to be more acidic. I took a little )2 oz) hot water, dissolved instant coffee and sugar, put in the freezer for abt 10 minutes, then put in the blender with a banana, protein powder, a little milk and ice for a coffee smoothie pick me up. :)
My word you really are a grafter!!!!!! Without the sink organiser I think. Also be mindful that your potatoes will last longer if stored in a cool dark place separate fom the onions and it will usually stop them from sprouting. But I'm sure you use up your spuds too quickly. I do hope you take rest every day x x
I know you love that contraption over the sink but i was so relieved when you said it was going to the laundry room bcz I agree it’s just too busy for the island. I am very curious what your next make over project will be. I love love love how the kitchen, your daughters room and the dining room came out. Im wondering what is going on in that big play room you had with all the toys and when you will be doing the new twins baby room make over. What will you use for your personal space once you convert that spare room where the extra bed and your desk is into babies room.
This video really is an inspiration, your kitchen looks so fresh and clean. I really really like your potato and onion organizational stand. Maybe some day you will come across the same sort of item, but more substantial, more heavy duty.
Yes I did think sink organiser was so big need small one on side , but yes reuse somewhere else looks good quality x

Wow, Jenia! I still can't get over how absolutely *AMAZING* the kitchen looks in white! What a difference! And, I know it's "easy" for people to say what an awesome transformation the white paint made... BUT! I know you completed many, *MANY* steps - just to paint your kitchen the "right" way. (I think that's a huge factor when I think about your "new" kitchen... how much pure *HARD WORK* you invested into this project! *AWESOME* job, Jenia!) I *DO* agree that the over-the-sink organizer looks better with a sink that's not in an island. HOWEVER, sometimes you have to choose "functionality" over aesthetics, ya' know? If it makes your life easier - despite how it looks - you've gotta choose the "easier option" (especially with twins on the way!) Whew! I just got overwhelmed merely *thinking* about them! (Hee-hee!) The finished kitchen, after all of your organization hacks and decisions, looks *SOOO* good!! Organizer on the Island - LOVE that thing, definitely agree with you on functionality over the looks, and I am testing my other drying little rack , and little gadgets I got for drying stuff, but if that becomes too difficult, I am bringing that monster back into the kitchen! 😃

Boris is adorable and is keeping me in shape by stealing things from the kitchen all the time and making me run out and get them outside... With kids it is difficult to keep everything in place , so he is always waiting for something to grab LOL! I will probably laugh at it years later..

If your pots and pans are non stick don’t think you are supposed to put them in the dishwasher. It takes the mom stick off, little by little. I did it once.

I also like instant coffee. My sister laughs at me because she says that I don't like coffee, I like coffee flavored milk since I put so much milk and creamer in my morning iced coffee lol

Your kitchen island looks better without that large over the sink strainer. It probably is functional but seems to be an eye sore.
I also much prefer instant coffee, probably because it's weaker 😅 i just mix it with warm milk ❤️

Also, jenia, let me know how you keep pet hair from getting on your cabinets? I have white cabinets and all of my pet's dark hair gets on them even when i'm wiping it off it's like I can't get rid of it.

Weird question but at the start you mentioned the you have a few lids that dont fit on pots/pans…why keep them then if it does not fit??you would have better/more space if you got rid of them😊 ….p.s this is no hate. Just curious as to why keep something thats of no use😊
Hi Chane! You have a good point, but here is why.. One lid is a universal for big pots - fits all big sizes, so I like that one, the other 1, i think I only have one more - I am not sure why hahahaha! I find myself using them though.. 😊

HI Bella!! Thanks, I had doubts about the sun and also keeping the potatoes and onions close together - I think onions make the potatoes sprout, so its; better to keep them apart. But my pantry doesnt have any space for them. I will need to figure something out....
I heard dogs can't have chocolate either dk how true that is though also I only use the original pine sol that's like my BFF I just love that smell.
There are so many thing I always hear dogs and cats can't have/be around , I lose count!! 😃

WE will see as the babies come, but so far I have an over-the sink little rack I brought down - folding one and I have that wooden mini-dryer on the counter and I have been doing fine so far. If I need that organizer, it is not far 😊

Hey Jenia, my morning coffee is typically iced as i much prefer iced coffee over hot coffee. I use Chamelon Cold brew if it's on sale and I have a coupon. Or if not, i use the kroger brand cold brew kohna blend. It's really good. I will link it below. I put it over ice add a bit of water to make it a bit less strong. Like maybe 1/4 cup since it's usually a concentrate. And I add Silk Caramel Almond Milk Creamer. sometimes I do mocha. Occasionally I add collagen to it and four stigmatic adaptogenic for focus. I should add this more honestly. However, it looks like the kona blend cold brew may not be availbe any longter. Hopefully that is just temporary. I like that it comes in a glass bottle too like chamelon. The Califia Farms cold brew is also great as well. And Also bizzy Cold brew. honestly, whichever one is on sale I get.
