Stihl MS461 First Run After Being Ported And Tuned. Crazy Firewood Saw!

- Got my Stihl 461 ported by @Leave_Nothing_Stock and boy this thing does not disappoint! bar and chain 28" full comp hexa cut. Wood is all hardwood. first up was maple then red oak. You will be seeing a lot more of this saw. It was easily my favorite saw before the port work. Now it's a monster that begs to be run! Thanks for watching!

Yeah, there’s no way I’d be able to wait to try that thing! You running stock chain? I bet you can push the rakers down slightly more than normal. Not sure how you sharpen or if you use a gauge (I’m still amazed at how quick even a little bit of dirt will dull a chain), but west coast saw has one with two different settings for the hardwood. The more conservative hardwood setting is plenty low for most of our trees, but if you’re just cutting firewood, I’d knock them down to the low hardwood setting and see if that baby will pull. I bet it does.
I'd switch to an 8 pin sprocket before lowering your rakers much. Get more speed, makes use of the added power, without making the chain grabbier than it needs to be

Oh,that runs so smooth. When the weekend gets here, your wife will not see you. She will have to send a sandwich and beer out to you strapped on the dog or some other farm animal to feed you or steal the chainsaw gas to have you come back to the house. Be blessed. My friend.

I cant wait till I can afford a good saw. In the meantime Im using cheap china saws. Which are saving my business at the moment. Right now Im running the Wemars 6200. Ive run 4 gallons of fuel through it so far and its done a good job for $150 saw. It was $120 on cyber monday.
