- The wait is over, LeBron James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer last night in Los Angeles Lakers loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The passing bucket came with 10.9 seconds left in the third quarter after LeBron drained a fadeaway jumper from 14 feet out. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react.

I knew it was happening last night when I saw Savannah, Gloria, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri at the game. There was no way LeBron would fail to get 36 points in a game with his entire family and so many others watching. There were so many celebrities, basketball legends, friends, fans, etc. Was a home game and he brought out the og headband as well. The headband was made out of a different material than the other players' so you knew he definitely brought it out for just that occasion. He had it clearly prepared.

This was such an iconic moment. It's definitely on the level of Kobe's final game and Jordan's final shot in Bulls uniform.
Not really. The room was way mor magical & they won. This don’t feel right. It feels like Bron is a plant. Like he become old for this last 36 points. Almost like he’s older than we think, & came out of hs ready to break records with his football frame. Either way great player but it’s weird to see this man win the record in a lakers jersey. It’s like a sacrifice to Kobe & Kareem
I can’t watch highlights of Kobe’s last game anymore it’s heartbreaking. It’s definitely up there with amazing nba moments
Nah this is more iconic than both those events in my opinion
Remarkable, considering he’s 4th on the assist list as well!!
A lot of people said nobody ever thought this record would be broken. I remember thinking in 2009 that Kobe would do it, as he was the youngest player to reach multiple scoring milestones. It's a shame coming off the bench in his first two years and injuries in his last three seasons robbed him of that chance.
Biiiig facts!!!!
Kobe was the youngest until LeBron kept being the youngest at every 1,000 point milestone.
Facts
But even if you added 5k points to Kobe, he still doesn’t get the record
Kobe wanted rings more than stats, if Kobe doesn’t get injured he breaks the record
I am not a Russ fan at all but I observed his performance last night totally different. Once Lebrun exited he was the only one with a sense of urgency trying to win the game, and I thought he was trying to win it for Lebron.
Exactly! And I’m not so sure the lakers are any better after this trade
Exactly it’s sad how they do Russ with no other point of view but one. He was definitely trying to win it so LeBron can have the record and the game. When you really pay attention it’s sad how much negative these players deal with in any sports like they hearts don’t matter. This stuff is being told to millions of people it’s crazy.
I've always been a MJ guy, but major props to LeBron for breaking the record. SO to Kareem for being there too. Hopefully he can play long enough to play with Bronny too. Great night altogether.
Kareem showed all-time class despite clearly being upset that he had to be part of the ceremony
Exactly. He's a very reserved person that isn't fond of public attention and ceremonies like that one. But he knew it was important for him to be there. Very classy and gracious.
This is just a beautiful moment, coming from humbled beginnings to accomplishing all he has & to have given so much. He continues to inspire from a lifestyle to sporting level.

20 years man insane !
@Truth is Harsh Name 20 players better than him
It’s crazy that Kobe didnt get to witness this amazing event
He would have been right there with the other Laker greats.
Kobe would have been hating.
My favorite part was the F-bomb at the end. Just raw emotion trying to keep it together.
I think the all time rushing NFL pts NBA NHL. Homer leader MLB probably will never be broken and other records but those are the key ones. I never thought the NHL all time goals scored record would be broken. What a time to be alive 😎
Lebron 🐐 James is now the all time leading scorer in NBA history congratulations 🍾 🤴
This record defo ups his all time status imo. No one can deny he’s mastered the game enough to be able to put out this production consistently for years 20 no less. Absolutely astonishing. He’s easily a top 15 player all time
Top 15, THATS IT!?!?
Top 15?
Fool he top 2 dead or alive.
Top 15😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 I believe you mean top 1 player all time
You won’t get the reaction you think you’ll get from this post. And I’ll delete this comment later just to be petty 😬☺️. You still have time to take this down.
@@Terror832 he's the goat to me at this point but I respect anyone who thinks Jordan is the goat, it's really a toss up at this point anyway. I think it's undeniable that Jordan and Lebron are in a completely different league of their own.
I was lucky enough to be in attendance and got a shot of Shannon leaving the arena. What a magical night
Wow that's numerology amazing and ironic rithere 👀 eye popping and mind boggling
Congratulations LeBron Raymone James, Sr. for becoming the NBA all time scoring leader.
I never thought this stat carried much weight.
What do you mean 38,000 points you have to average over 25 points a game for over 20 years. Doesn’t hold weight pathetic loser.
@@thewavyprince5691 Karl Malone, is that you? Go back to driving your truck. This is one of the least attractive stats in sports.
@The BenC you're a bot a bum and a clown matter of fact the whole circus. Stay mad you could never be as good ad L
eBron
Awesome duo & show. You’re one of the best in the world 🌎 👍👍👍🇺🇸
10:45 “this is also my signature shot as well!” 🤨🤢😂
MJ will forever be my goat, but Lebrons longevity is insane honestly I cant help but be a fan
