Sir can you please explain what does the settings internal rec - Mlut on will do to the footage
Can you back up a LUT to SD card from the camera?
Thx for that. Is the FX9 able to use 65 Grid-Luts, that are normally used by NLEs? Or do we have to „downconvert“ them to 33Grid-LUTs?
No idea, have a try and let us know!
Where do you download the luts? I find it hard to find a website that provides luts that actually work!
XDCAMuser.com is a top one
Actually my camera is fx9 when I change format in s log3 and cine EI in camera while shooting in that format..... The LCD is in black and white...is it available in colour..... Sir
Turn on MLUT for the Viewfinder. It's not black and white, just a high dynamic range image on a non-HDR screen.
There is a VF setting, I believe in Monitoring menu where you can set VF to use use color or black and white..
Thanks for that. One thing: you should not load and USE a LUT that was not DESIGN for the log curve of the camera. (the alexa LUT) Because they don't have the same mid gray ref value. You will mess up with your exposure if you do so (while shooting. Example: the false color you see would be based on the S log, and LUT will offset the normalised picture). Example Mid gray value slog3: 0.411, Arri LogC: 0.391. If you took a random LUT just for the example: ignore me 😀. But at the same time, you could confuse people who are watching. Kids... don't do that at home. Have a great day sir.
That's not necessarily true. When applying an MLUT to the EVF the camera scopes/waveforms work from the un-LUTted LOG image, so you can judge your exposure properly even with the LUT active.
OK 999p9o
What type of LUTs are good? 17, 33 or 66? Thanks
No idea, we grade everything bespoke, but we do use Alister Chapman's for monitoring on set.
What's up number sir. ।।।।।
