Defeated 5 boss so far and I haven't died in a single boss battle *Yet* If you compare it with my dark Soul death count....meh But I really love code vein it's a pretty good game
I just started playing this game yesterday and its really good. If they made this into an anime someday i would definitely watch it for... more than one reasons, if you guys know what i mean
Tbh the game is pretty short, and playing it through again it gets even shorter once you figure out it's simple mechanics. Compared to ALL the Souls Games and Soul type clones, Code Vein is the easiest and shortest. Plus I don't really feel a connection to the storyline at all, nothing stands out and really grabs my attention cause how many anime shows follow many of the tropes presented in CV. The characters are just kind of "meh" at best. I guess that's why we haven't seen a CV2 and why the company behind it is making an entirely new game, which I believe will tie Code Vein and God Eater in better than CV did, cause CV is supposed to be the events that "Triggered and lead to the world of God Eater", or something like that. CV never really explained how the two are even related and there's little to no References in the God Eater series that points back to CV.
@@AFellowDoktuh I really liked the game, and honestly I don't think it's a bad thing that the game is short, especially because there are several short games that I like and have a good replay factor, like Metal Gear Rising, I liked the characters and the narrative, It's good to have a soulslike that focuses more on the narrative instead of explaining the lore every time through item descriptions, And about it not being difficult, no soulslike is really difficult, at most Sekiro has one more difficulty, I'm thinking that you just don't like the game because it has no connection with God Eater, which for me is another thing that matters so much, Ds1 has basically no connection with Ds2, the Just a few little references and situations, and I still like them both

Even though CV is short, and doesn't connect the dots, it is still a good game overall, it's much better than a lot of other games out there that are being released now. The character creation in CV is really great as well. I just recently went back and played CV and I think it's one of those games that's nice to go back to every once in a while, but is not a game that I sit down and play over and over repeatedly. I am curious about this "new project" the CV devs have hinted at however.

This games has a huge potential of being an anime
The only souls-like I ever beat. It was really hard but really fun (especially the character creator, one of the best ive seen)
