This system is very popular in Paris and very efficient in small streets.
GToger's channel has tow trucks from Dallas, TX that wheel lift the cars and they're gone in 30 seconds. Driver doesn't even need to get out.
It's a sweet channel, love watching it.
As for this set up, it's a very typical rig for the UK.
Indeed. A shame, the dearth of content lately but…🤷♂️
Sure the other guy is gone quicker, but two minutes for this one ain’t too shabby
I beg to differ my friend we hear at PICK UP GO tow trucks in North Texas can remove a sedan or hatch in under 20 seconds flat.
The critics of this method/machine do not get it ! , please use your brain (if you have one) before writing.
This ones are for tight streets and parallel parking !!! , try using any regular towing system !! On those...
I like seeing how tow truck designs vary around the world. No truck is best for every situation, but each has its strengths and weaknesses. Some common taters seem to be fond of the trucks used in GTOger vids, but those require wider streets than are found in many parts of the world. They would be virtually useless in most of Europe.
Never have I seen a tow truck like this one!
Come to London and you will see 20 tow trucks like this before you see a single Police car. And that's a fact. Parking control in London makes BIG money.
Tow Trucker can tow two vehicles at once with the Flatbed Truck.
Wow! Neat set up!
I love how an alarm goes off when the car is picked up. It's like, yeah, the alarm isn't stopping the towing company from moving your car.
Beg you pardon, lad... i have to forcibly remove your car...
Don't you worry, mate... won't scratch paint.
Interesting way to tow a vehicle but way too much hassle. In NY they just lower the boom, hook the tires and Gone In Thirty Seconds...
Might because of a lot of our cars are parallel parked, when bumper to bumper not sure if the boom method would work. But I too thought the boom makes more sense for most occasions
@@basukisugito8929 there's a lever on the transmission that you can easily flip that'll unlock the front drive.
would have loved to see reaction of owner of vehicle....
Pretty sneaky tow.
Said absolutely nobody.
I like how people think they can do whatever they want, while driving a car. Good for the tow truck driver.
No worse feeling that coming out and your car is gone, just gone.
There is a worse feeling. Finding that somebody has illegally parked in your space...
If there was an open drink in that car, that interior is ruined
Reminds me of the boom configuration used to deliver sheetrock and such.
I love the mates! Respect from. America
Interesting and pretty quick. Takes a bit of skill lowering the vehicle.
Quick? Really? Here in the US they would have towed 4 cars in that amount of time.
@@622wesc really? lets see how US Tow trucks do against 4 wheels parking brake, this truck was design for this
Pretty Swift. Different way to do it but very Effective.
We do this in the UK as absolutely no chance of damaging the car towing with 2 wheels on the ground, the tow firm would get sued otherwise. Maybe in the US they don't care if they wreck someone's transmission or whatever.
in America they have flatbed tow trucks, like this one, that they can tow cars on, so it’s not that big of a deal
@@spongebobsquarepants3770 - Yeah - agree, it's the safer way, especially with all the electric vehicles becoming much more common - I would think that many of them would be need to be lifted onto a flatbed to avoid any damage.
I live in the US and I agree they don't care if they damage the transmission. I saw it happen to my neighbors car.
they also have what’s called a Tow Dolly, so when a regular tow truck tows a car they could put it on the Tow Dolly that way it’s totally off the ground
Seems like more can go wrong instead of just dragging it on to a flatbed.
Same people that leave their carts out in the parking lot.
Nice work!
Pretty much the same method my wife uses to get me out of bed on a Saturday morning 😂😳🤫
he bashed the body when he put the back offside clamp on
Somebody stole my car!
The parking looks ok . Maybe a bit more info on ' why ' it was illegal?
The vehicle was parked in the suspended bay, where parking was prohibited
Lagi senang buat kerja ginih angkat terus Naik atas Lori gayezzzz... perghhhhhhhh, best nih...next
Nice idea 👌
That is so disgustingly uncontrolled. Try doing the exact same thing on a construction site and you'll be shut down instantly.
Happy new year
This method seems so much more complex and risky compared to the other methods. What's the advantage of this except for moving AWD vehicles? Although the roller dollies for a flatbed really negate the difficulty for towing an AWD.
I'd imagine something to do with how tight streets can be. A truck with a flatbed or hitch would take up more of the roadside and more time having to line up. Time is usually of the essence since they do block a lot of roadway in any case.
Just a guess 🤔
I watch US towtrucker, the streets in UK were designed for horse and carry.
We use one where it is easier than setting up a side winch. Used correctly there is little chance of damage to the vehicle. No farting around with slipperies and snatch blocks. We do use Streetlifters for removing abandoned vehicles, also when highways want a road cleared for resurfacing or works. Sometimes we use them for teslas if they refuse to go into towing mode if requested. Yes, we do also use dollies and slipperies as well but each job is assessed and the best option used.
There is the other point that using one to remove an obstructing vehicle creates more of a spectacle (excuse the pun) and sends the message out that your car will be moved however you try to outsmart the system. Lol
By lifting the car straight off the ground, the transmission can stay in park and parking brake remain set. No dragging the tires.
That's just Brilliant.
Love the entitled being towed
London Tow Trucks are so clever 👍🏻
@@paulgabolinscy2502 I'm sorry, Paul ... It's actually a pretty impressive rig, tho' based on US TowTrucker ...
The yanks have these tow trucks they can hook up and tow a car in under a minute!!
The classic more money than brains benz owner
1. Why don't we have equipment like this in the states?
2. Do you need to be certified to use this type of equipment?
3. Did you ever cause damage?
4. What about tight spots like one car in the front and one car in the back the middle one would be tight?
5. Do you need a hydraulic license to operate this equipment?
That is amazing
Not the car screaming in protest...
At the venue I worked security at, if someone thought they'd just leave their vehicle behind overnight in a marked NO PARKING OVERNIGHT parking lot, the next morning the venue maintenance guy would just effortlessly use the Pettibone forklift and pick up the vehicle (exhaust & undercarriage be damned) and drop it off premises on a far sidestreet.
Wish they did this out in California for all the people who take advantage of handicapped parking, obviously I’m disabled so it really gets to me, especially when they say I’m only gonna be a second.
Dangerous job
almost broke the bumber off
the cars like WTFF?!!
Some people just can’t be allowed to have a car… ever.
Viewers can't read the signs. Explanation needed.
Don’t know why it’s illegal. Looks like a marked parking spot.
The vehicle parked in the suspended marked Areas, and it could be for anything, traffic flow or designated vehicle. Before the suspension is active, they give 3 to 5 days of notice.
What is responsibility of towing company in your countries? Does the illegal driver take some or all risk of damage during clearing the road from his obstacle?
And for a few extra quid...the lift driver dude could...twirl...that hoopty aroun' like a...loopty loop.....!
Never seen it done like that before but it worked lol.
Owner probably called the cops. Someone stole my car.
If the owner called Police, they would let the Driver know what happened to his car.
No tenéis ni idea con mi grúa me llevo ese coche en 30 segundos
You can't park anywhere anymore.
Just don't drive people don't go anywhere stay home🤣
Tow truck or steal truck?
that's cool.
HOOK N BOOK
Bet the guy rejoices in the power he has - respect at last eh? Well maybe not.
You mean Hammersmith?
now that one way to play keep away from the owner if they have bills on that car that they owe & if they in the car how they drive away that high up cuz they rip the straps & fall to the ground damage the car & put u in the hospital
The car appears to be crying out to mommie
That's cool.
Once I saw it was a Mercedes, I rejoiced. I think all BMWs should be towed, legally parked or not. If the owner complains, crush the car.
@@festusenabulele357 what a very illogical comment. Weak, silly and..
BRRRRRRZZZZZ
Oh! the buzzer went. I win. No further comments will be tolerated at this time.
@@barney6888 your comment is illogical too. Before you ask, no I don't own or drive a mercedes or bmw.
A giant magnet would be faster.
Was the white car towed too? It was next to the blue car, so it was also parked illegally
That’s hijacking a car. SMH.
Lift truck not tow truck.
Too bad there wasn't something quicker, along the same lines, you could go around random streets a d switch cars around all over the place, then stick around to record all the owners reactions
hey man stay away from brand new used car !
😊
The North American autoloader is faster.
I wish we had trucks like that, for every lazy-ass BMW driver, who parks in the handicapped spots at the mall, just to save a few steps!
Dozens of Metropolitan Police officers and special constables have disciplined for using their black warrant cards for blagging free train travel or trying to get access to bars and clubs while drunk.
In total, 58 complaints of officers misusing their warrant cards have been made between February 2013 and January 2015 according to documents released under the Freedom of Information Act.
According to the disclosure log, the Metropolitan Police has investigated staff for misusing their warrant cards to get free travel on trains, gain access to pubs and nightclubs while drunk and even attend football matches, claiming to be working under cover. Of the 58 complaints during the period under question, 13 officers either retired or resigned from the force following the investigations.
The critics of this method/machine do not get it ! , please use your brain (if you have one) before writing.
This ones are for tight streets and parallel parking !!! , try using any regular towing system !! On those...
An expensive sophisticated machine doing the work that the most basic tow truck can do so much faster.
The reason behind using this expensive machine is to minimise the risk of damage to the vehicle.
Have you seen how small some of the streets are in Europe or London, a regular tow truck like to use in the United States would not be able to tow most of the vehicles on those streets. It would take them too long
It ain't but common sense, smaller roads, less room, you do what it takes.
The critics of this method/machine do not get it ! , please use your brain (if you have one) before writing.

Absolute thoefs
Now this is how we should be dealing with college students lol
😡
How’s it illegal? They’re in a parking spot, right?
I agree. Looks like it is just being done because they can. It looks like the car is parked in a parking bay.
If you look across the bed of the truck (1.00 -1.30) you can see a sign "Parking restrictions apply". It means its probably a controlled parking area for either residential permit holders or its a pay and display. You can also see a penalty charge notice under his wiper arm. Consider yourself very lucky if you find a FREE (of charge) parking space in London !
No good to slow
This method, although complex, avoids ALL of the electronic anti-theft devices that might otherwise damage wheels and transmissions and possibly cost the towing company if found at fault.
