Charco la Iglesia | San Germán | Puerto Rico | GoPro Max 360

Charco la Iglesia, like Charco el Pilón, which is a little further down, is an incredibly magical place. Depending on where you come from, getting there by car can be challenging since driving from the metro area takes 2 hours. The road gets steeper and narrower the closer you get to where you need to park.
The first part of the path on foot is for off-road cars and the second is a fairly well kept path, although it crosses the river several times, and if you don't look closely, you can get lost momentarily. Despite all that, I would easily say it's worth it just to see those crystal clear waters! Watch the video to see this magical place!

Beaches are OK, but I love love a great river/waterfall/swimming spot. If there's a spot to dive/jump in, it makes it even better. This place looks like a REALLY cool adventure.

Hey! I feel the same way! For me, the appeal of rivers is the whole adventure of getting there and exploring the surrounding area. This river in specific is quite an adventure starting from the challenging drive to the parking area, to the hike over to the first river, Charco El Pilon, to getting up to Charco la Iglesia. It's a bit tiring, but definitely worth it!
