Another example of why Wynton Marsalis
is a National Treasure.
He should have his own Secret Service detail.
Thanks for your work on the transcription!
Thanks for transcribing this. At long last I think I can finally play along with the first 8 measures
what a beauty and what a great transcription, thank you sooo much!!!
Me: I can improv over G Blues
Wynton:
He’s just unbelievable!!!
Magnifique !
Eric! Thank you so much Pal
Awesome job transcribing this!! Especially on the fast notes or the really high notes.
Excellent.
😱Um gênio do trompete 🇧🇷👏👏👏😍
unbelievable!!! trumpet
De otro planeta
Lois Armstrong é imortal
c'est un extra terrestre...
Yeah!!!
I can play a G above the staff.
Wynton Marsalis: Hold my beer.
yes, sir you can do that!
he legit looks like he's having so much this solo.
Honestly as a sax player I don’t listen to enough trumpet players but this solo is so solid lmao.
Wow!! so I like jazz🙂
Great job! What do you think about transcribe wynton’s melody phrasing and solo on the theme?
He doesn’t play on the theme of this rendition so it would have to be a different one if you wanted to hear it from wynton.
ㅎㄷㄷ;;;
Fantastic in ALL aspects. I mean Wynton Marsalis and I mean the Transcription!
However ..... I Do NOT understand the connection with Louis Armstrong in this "Portrait".
What does the symbol on top of the E in bar 46 mean?
That’s a baaad man right there!
One of the many reasons Wynton is one of the best trumpet players to ever live.
thanks eric zeiborg. Signed, adam smith
Please transcript eddie daniels solo of Mozart's 40th Symphony In Gm.
I love these videos, but I can never find out where the actual instrument featured is supposed to start, there is no count in.
The "lay back a lot" section is metric modulation of triplets
Bruh what are the ᴄʜᴀɴɢᴇs
During this performance, the band inserted an open solo section for Wynton at the top of "Portrait of Louis Armstrong", but I believe the chords are not following the progression from the rest of the chart. It's quite possibly just a concert G blues, but I'm not certain.
Dan nimmer thank god 😂
ERRORS:
Bar 12 to 15 - Shift everything (starting with Eb) over by half a beat
Bar 26 - First note should be G#
Bar 57 - beat 2 should be a D
Bar 65 and 66 - triplet should be between B and C.
Bar 114 - Beat 4 should be an E
First note in bar 26 is a G# not an A.
A damn good transcription anyway!
@@NotBroihon Thanks, added it to the list.
Measure 9 is a half beat late as well
Bar 17 - first note should be A
bar 25 - first note should be D
Bar 50 - A should be on the third beat
Bar 113 - beat 4 should be Eb
Fourth note in bar 28 should be Eb
