Impressive review on 4 Ninja coffee brewers, temperature test, features, taste test, it doesn’t get any better than JUST A DAD Coffee reviews, very informative, interesting and impressive. Superbly done
Much appreciated! Thanks again for your support!!!
@@JustADad your welcome
I got 2 ninjas for Christmas and was researching which one to keep. You really helped!!! Thank you!!
That had to be the best comparison video I've ever seen! So much information, and you absolutely helped me decide on which out to get. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
I’ve owned my coffee maker two years, because of these videos I finally made my 1at speciality coffee and it was amazing! Thank you again!!!
Way to go! Glad I could help!
The best comparison video In CZcams. Thanks so much. You explain everything very clear, detailed and you don’t ramble. You go to the point. Loved your video and you cleared a lot of questions I had. Now I know which one to get.
Thank you so much!
Your So Welcome!!!!!
Super duper best review ever! I am buying one for a loved one for Christmas. This made my decision easier! Love this!!!
Thank you doing these reviews! Most under rated videos on these on the whole internet
Thanks, glad I could help!
This was awesome! I'm so glad I found this I was over the k-cups I rather use coffee grounds and a reusable cup.
JUST THE VIDEO I WAS LOOKING FOR! Thank you for taking the time to review and compare these models side by side!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this! Very helpful when trying to decide between the different versions!
Any time!
Just ordered the Ninja hot and cold brew system.. found this video after not realizing they had new models out!! Still happy with our choice, we stopped using K-cups in our keurig in favor of reusable filter pods (so don't need those). Once I saw the temperature difference and the auto drip stop I was real happy! Also our home has lower cupboards making the pro a pain. Thanks for the detailed video!
Thanks for watching. I was surprised to that the new models don't make as hot of coffee as the hot cold brewer. yeah the auto drip stop is really nice.
I have the HCB too. My only concern is the longevity of that mechanical auto drip stop.
Thanks for info on ninja coffee makers I'm looking for a new coffee makers and you just helped me decide what onei I want.
Glad I could help!
Please never stop with your little bat ❤️ I love love it 😂 makes it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for stating that the flashing was the camera and not the actual coffee maker. At first I was thinking "well I'm not going to buy one that keeps blinking at me" 😆
Thanks for sharing, I will remember to always point that out.
Awesome video….really helped my decision. I love that you added the temperature of the coffee, because I love a hot cup of coffee! Only request is that you talk about the volume of water each tank holds. Thanks
You are so welcome! Thanks for the feedback!!! will do!
From left too right, I had the thermal carafe version, 2nd 1, I received the coffee only version as a replacement for one that took a leak. 3. I have the thermal carafe version. Years ago I gave their first one that I got to my mom. I never get the glass ones.
I love how you make your videos. Your thorough.
Glad you like them!
This was very helpful! I've been wanting the dual pro but after this I'm thinking the hot and cold!!
Good choice!
@@JustADad wish one is better for the cold brew ( my wife likes cold brew) trying to decide about getting 2 machines or this one should be enough?
@@percyflores7517 for cold brew they all are about the same sorry
The one on the left, I had the stainless steel carafe version. I gave it away to a lady after I got my new CFP305 from Best Buy.
What a wonderful video review, Hats off to you sir.
Thanks so much

Thanks for the review!
Great review- hard to get all this information at their websites , very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
They should link his videos!
I use the brown filters white filters are bleached. I hope this helps.
Great video! Is it brewing at 200 degrees in contact with plastic parts ? No issues with that? Is there any model that has all metal parts atleast the brewing hot parts ?
I have the older model to the left, without the over ice option, I've been very happy with that machine machine but I really like the kpod addition. I ended up purchasing the newest Dual Brew Pro just because of all the other extras, plus I really like the frother. Also my older model I have to warm it up first before I can brew, the new one doesn't need to, it brews as soon as it's on. Thank you! 👍
Very nice!
I'm considering the Dualbrew Pro but concerned about if it brews as hot as the cm401 on the left that I've had (cm401 is scaa certified). Brew temp is so important for good coffee. As someone who's owned both, do you find the coffee as good in the dual brew pro?
@@bellac1451 Hi Bella. Coffee temp with the new Dual Brew Pro is hot, I'm not sure the actual reading, but I give it a good few minutes to cool down, or if I'm in a hurry, I add a little bit of cold cream, and it's perfect. Thank you. ☺️
@@bellac1451 If brew temp is a concern the I would get the Ninja Hot Cold brewer, it does make a hotter cup of coffee
Have had the hot/cold brew machine in stainless for over a year. With daily use it’s still a great machine. Almost always make cold brew. These machines quickly pay for themselves verses daily DD purchases.
I've had the hot/cold brew for years, unfortunately the reservoir started leaking from the bottom. Neoprene washer trick didn't work reliably. Woke up to water all over the counter. Shame because that's a great machine! Time to research an upgrade.
I really think the hot and cold is the BEST... I love how hot the coffee is...I think that why the kuerug was always so weak....never got hot enough....got rid of it years ago.... Tried this one at my son in laws house and was hooked!❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing!
Note: Make sure you shake the k-cup on the hot Cocoa and and Cappuccino k-cups. Some will say shake k-cup before use.
Very Helpful review Thank You
You're welcome!
Great review, thanks!
Your welcome!!!
Watched a few of your videos as my wife just got me the Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker not realizing it won't take her K-cups. She is thinking of exchanging it for the Dual Brew Pro. I will mainly be using it for Cappuccino hot and iced. Which do you think would be a better choice for that? I know they are both great for plain coffee but which do you like more for capp?
Hello again! As ALWAYS, you create the BEST review videos! Question: If I wanted to, can I use a #4 paper filter with the cold brew system? I have the newest Dual Pro, but I don't like that I can't use a fillable k-cup for my ground coffee yet I can use the paper filter for single cups because when we have used the plastic filter we don't get a strong enough coffee due to the plastic bottom. I'm having a really tough time deciding between the dual and the cold brew because we are tea drinkers too yet are only single coffee cup drinkers so, that is why I am asking if the cold brew can take a filter.
Thank you very much and I hope that I didn't confuse you.
Stacie
YES Absolutely the cold brew coffee maker is great coffee maker and you can use a #4 paper filter with it just fine. Thanks for watching and your kind words!! let me know if I can help!
so is the Hamilton Beach Dual-Brew the better unit over the Ninja CFP301? I realize that Ninja must be coming out with new coffee makers soon to fix some of the issues that exist on their current line (3 different model numbers) since it's been about a year and a half since their last refesh of their coffee maker line. I'm sure they are sick of replacing them right and left.
Love your explanation ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the insight!

I am so torn between the CFP301 and CP301. Even after watching your video. If you had to choose one, which one would you pick??
Hello What is the difference CFP301 and CFP300?
That was a great review
THANK YOU FOR THE DETAILED INFO ON THE UNIITS, THERE IS ON THING YOU MIST , WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SIZE TRAVEL MUG ALLOWED SPACE ON THE DUALBREW MODLES 301 AND OTHER , THE KEURIG ONLY ALLOW ABOUT A 7 INCH MUG OR CUP , AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS VERY INFORMATIVE, I JUST WONDER WHY A 2 PRONG PLUG INSTEAD OF A 3 PRONG, SHOULD BE SAFER . THANKS AGAIN
Great Question. Sorry I did not cover this in this video.
Thank you for this review
Glad it was helpful!
What's the difference between Cold Brew and Over Ice?
Hello. Do the last ninja coffee maker,s brew thea? I have the first ninja coffee maker. I know whit the second ninja coffee make you can also make thea
How is cold brew done? I’ve never done cold brew,
Which one last more than a year.
The new DualBrews have a better lid on the water reservoir. The one on the left has a little gap on the right side of the lid. I actually found mosquito larvae in it’s tank. I took it off and washed it out. I wanted to tell Shark/Ninja but no one can call them anymore.
CP301 will be here this week. I broke my Cuisine art k-cup with dual brew pot a few days ago. I can’t use the k-cup side anymore. I don’t think I’ll mind not using k-cups. Only time with the CP301 Ninja will tell. 🤷🏻♀️ I chose the Ninja because the reviews show it brewing a ‘hotter’ cup than the rest. I hate when my coffee has to be microwaved to heat it up immediately after brewing. Redundant.
This is amazing!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!
I'm looking at buying one of these as our keurig died on us yesterday. We use the reusable kpods, is it possible to continue to use those with any of these machines?
Yes both of these in this video would be great. czcams.com/video/uNSD9ix7kG4/video.html
Good video. I’m a little disappointed the Pro doesn’t brew as hot as the CM401 or CP301. I like the extra features of the pro, but the maker we’re looking to replace isn’t hot enough and brews about the same temp. Guess it’s going to be one of the others then.
Yeah I was surprised also that the brew temp was lower. Thanks for watching!!!
The CM401 & CP301 are both SCA certified. One of the biggest requirements is a consistent brewing temp between 198-205 degrees. Other two are not certified. Also, the reason they pause after 30 seconds is because of the blooming stage they go thru to maximize extraction.
@@alexbecerraaify Yeah, I figure there had to be *some* reason the CFP Pro models weren't SCA certified when I was doing my research. Best Buy had a good sale price for CFP307, but I'm glad I saw this video before pulling the trigger.
@@AlexKluiber I been doing a lot of research lately as I’m looking to upgrade from a Keurig. Im between the CM401 and the Oxo 8 cup . I like the features on the Ninja the most out of most brewers in the same price range but Ninja longevity worries me. Let me know what you decide to go with!
@@alexbecerraaify Thanks for sharing this great information!!!!!
I have seen a lot of comments on amazon for the DUO ones that they leak a lot of coffee grounds from the k-pods. Did you run into that issue?
It can be problem sometimes, but not that often. If you keep up on fresh water rinses or clean the needles on a regular schedule then that helps alot. the top needles can collect coffee grounds from one cup to another but if you do a fresh water rinse about once a week it helps a bunch.
great video
Thanks!
can reusable pods be used for the k cup single serve portion of the dual pro?
nevermind, i caught the video where you said they don't. sorry!
Can you use the Pod adapter on CP301 Hot & Cold Brew System?
No its only for the newer Ninja Dualbrew coffee makers
Besides the k cup option, is it worth upgrading from the cm401 to the cp301?
Can I make tea in the first ninja ? I would think I could put tea bags in and it would still work. Is this correct? This is the one farthest to the left
You can try it, I bet it would work.
I see this is old, but I seem to always come across your vids when I’m checking out product reviews, so thank you! My question is now that it’s been 2 years, do you have anything to update on any of them? I really want something that does single serve (grounds) with the capability of making a carafe when needed. I’ve tried dedicated single serve machine brands, and they’ve ALL been disappointing! Weak coffee that either brews too quickly or inability to handle more than a couple tblsp of grounds (I like a strong, flavorful cup of coffee). I don’t need a milk frothing attachment, so that’s not really a consideration for me, I have a handheld. I honestly just want a good cup of coffee in the morning without having to make excess that gets wasted every day. I have condensed my choices to just Ninja, but not sure which one holds up the best/longest. Thanks for your thorough reviews!
Also, I couldn’t stop thinking C3PO while you were rattling off model numbers. Lol🤖
Really good video man. is it worth the pro? can you make cold brew too? Because I don't see it in the options or is it the same as over ice?
you can make iced coffee with all these coffee makers. the pro lets you do k cups also. so if you want k cups or a separate hot water dispenser then you will love the pro
would it be possible to see if any of these are also capable of making Tea aside from the H/C Brew CP301? or maybe a comparison video for tea vs the CP301?
I need to look into making tea. what type and kind of tea do you use?
I see that the dual brew pro does brew k cups. Is there a way I can put a coffee filter in the k cup basket instead of using a k pod when I just want 1 cup of coffee? I usually dump the k cup contents into a reusable k pod. I am wondering if I can dump the k cup contents into a coffee filter into the k cup basket instead of using a disposable k cup each time.
I have not seen a reusable k cup for the ninja yet. it will take a very special one because it has 3 needles on top.
@@JustADad aw man! Would a disposable k cup coffee paper filter work in this ninja machine?
@@rachael4141 No they it has 3 needles in the top. have not seen one yet.
I am seeing a lot of reviews saying it leaks on the counter during dripping process or out of the reservoir? Have you noticed?
Nothing like that yet.
I had that issue with the model from 2016 (not in the video) and Ninja replaced the main body of the machine for free after I contacted them about it. This was probably about 8-10ish months after I got it.
Wow great review. Measuring the temperature was important, since the recommended range is 195 to 205. Appreciate all your other comparison points too. Its' the cp301 for me, don't need the kcup version, not to mention its lower brew temp.
Also, I was surprised you started all the makers at the same time. These things take about 12-15 amps. IF you didn't have enough amperage on your circuit its possible one or more of the machines underperformed (like the Pro at a lower temp). Regardless, great comparison.
Yeah I had to bring in extension cords from other circuits but I thought everyone would like to see it, I was so surprised to see the new Ninja was cooler.
@@JustADad Wonder if the lower temperature is due to smaller heat element. The form factor looks a lot smaller compared to the Ninja on the right. Smart approach on using extension cords to run them at the same time. Gotta ask, whats your go-to daily coffee maker, now that you've tried so many? That would be a good video, your takeaway after trying so many. BTW, another idea is to look at the Capresso, don't think I saw it in your videos list. Could be wrong.
@@krehbein Thanks for you kind words!!! you would be suprised to know I have switched to cold Brew in the Icebox right now. I go through phases and I am really hooked on Cold Brew. czcams.com/video/ZdvYQtBS5A4/video.html

When I was using a coffee maker it was the Keurig K Cafe because it has an amazing frother, and the Moccamaster, it taste great but not sure its taste so much better its worth $350.
@@JustADad Funny, I usually do the cold brew thing in the summer. I'll have to take a look at those videos. I ended up getting the ninja dualbrew cfp305 (it has the insulated carafe). From what I've heard only Best Buy sells it (could be wrong). Yes, aggreed on the Moccamaster. I tried it and wasn't impressed, for the money. Plus the ninjas brew within a few degrees and also do blooming with the coffee.
So I noticed the oz setting for a full pot is only 55oz. That's far from 12 cups?
yes, I think thats a standard 12 coffee cups not measuring cups
@@JustADad Learn something new every day.
Ninja should make a reusable Kcup pod. I saw theirs has 3 needles.
Yeah I agree!
Great video! Could you do a video of the Dual Brew Pro vs the Hot/Cold for tea making? I'm interested in knowing the temperature of the water in all the Hold/Cold tea settings and then the temperature for the boiling and hot water with the Dual Brew Pro.
I will try but I have never made hot tea before.
I have the hot/cold one I’ve used for tea before. It works well and my guess would be that the difference between that and the hot water setting on the new model would be needing to wait for the tea instead of the hot/cold machine managing that. However, the hot/cold one has different settings for different types of tea so that probably gives it an edge on making tea over the new model. I don’t have the new model but hot water is hot water lol
So are you able to brew espresso coffee on the dual brew specialty one ??
yes the Dual brew Pro cfp301 and Dual Brew cfp300, the other one dual brew cfp 201 you can not.
@@JustADad How about the CM401
@@delmartinis Have not heard of it yet.
Do any of them have a timer that will automatically brew a pot of coffee in the morning?
All 4 do have that setting
Yes all 4 do, I have videos on how to set it on all 4.
Yes it’s the Delay Brewing button
I have been reading a lot about these machines but something I'm worried about is the longevity. Most seem to break down after a year or two, which is terrible for a machine this expensive. Has anyone had one of these machines for more than 2 years?
Great Question. I have found if a machine breaks it usually does in the first month or 2. after that if they are taken care of then they can last. These have a lot going on and a lot of moving parts. The Ninja hot cold I have had over a year and it works great. The 2 new dual brews just came out so not sure how they will last.
I had the ninja coffee bar that came out in 2015 it still works. The only thing is that you must keep up the maintenance of descaling the machine in order for the water temperature to work properly. I noticed when I kept up the descaling the machine my coffee was amazing but it’s when I started slacking is when my coffee tasted bitter, the water temp wouldn’t stay hot like I can leave my hot cup of coffee out on the counter while I go look for sugar and it will be room temp within 5mins, it’s a pain when you neglect the descaling in order for it to give out good coffee. It can take up to 48hrs to descale my machine properly after I neglect descaling it in order for it to give out coffee like it did when I first bought it. So you must make time to descale yourself machine in order for it to last. I’m finally upgrading the ninja dual brew pro speciality because I wanted something much more sleek and modern.
I've had my Ninja coffee bar for 3.5 years. It works as good now as it did the day I bought it
@@saundiwatson1573 Thanks for sharing, I was wondering how long they last.
@@RaquelC17 thanks for the tips!
The hotter your water gets the less coffee grinds you'll need.
Coffee needs to ideally brew between 195° - 210° .
The ninja specialty coffee maker don’t do hot water??
it does but it runs through the same basket that brew the coffee so it might have a little taste left over from the coffee.
Is it just my eyes or did it seem like the Ninja Pro produced a darker looking richer cup ?
Does the pro model also. Do cold brew?
yes
Hey wait a minutes…are you the guy that repairs watches too? Y’all voice is very similar!! Wow.
no but I do other repair videos also. thanks for watching!
Stuck between the pro and the hot/cold 😭
Which one comes with the Thermal Carafe?
That is another model different from these.
The hot and cold comes with a thermal carafe and the ninja dual brew also comes with one but its a different model number
Problem with all of these is they make a 4 oz then to 9 or 8 possibly. I'd prefer 6 ounces for a cup. Sounds pretty but kinda odd how they work. Notice on k cup setting it does 6
Thanks for Watching
Ok so I hit Specialty and got 4oz, then I hit the Start button again and it poured out what seemed to be only about 2 more oz. I say that because the liquid in my mug didn’t double after pressing start a second time but did indeed give me ample cappuccino to go with the first 4oz that had already poured in my XL mug from initial brew
@@shockawha9 I'll try that and see what happens
What you recommend to buy
The ninja hot cold is great but if you need to do a kcup then the CFP301 is a great choice. it has a separate hot water dispenser.
