My most favorite car of all time
I always wanted a lancer, when I had the money for a new car I wanted a lancer but they had no base models with automatic transmission.
I couldn’t afford anything more then the base model.
I ended up buying a 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage.
Now I’m looking at a 2008 lancer being sold as is at the local Mitsubishi dealer.
I’m drooling over it cause I got some money on me.
Not enough for their asking price.
But my former employer has good business relations with them. So I hope they will be able to get the price down nice and low.
i'm about to buy one now, and i'm fucking Hype! lolol
Muddy Water I did get that 08 Lancer last week.
It needs abit of work for inspection but it’s almost done.
It’s a joy to drive handles great!
Mine the rear sub frame had two small holes around where the bar that leads to the suspension and rear wheels attach.
Holes were small but apparently where I am any hole is a fail.
I’d take a good look under there if I was you, my mechanic friend told me this is a common area for them to rust.
I cleaned it up with my grinder the best I could and my neighbour welded it.
Besides that passenger front ball joint, no big deal.
And a small section of exhaust needs repair cheap fix.
Love the car tho.

@@danielpaul7065 Well it's been like 3 years now. So far so good.
Had 168,000kms when I got it.
Now has 221,000kms.
So far biggest thing I did was the suspension front and back. Also did brakes, re did the whole front end over the last 3 years.
I made a point to change the CVT fluid early when I got it. Apparently it was done before. The mechanic remarked it wasn't the original Mitsubishi fluid.
I also did it again this year.
Weakest part on these cars is the transmission!
It's been pretty good to me all things considered.. nothing outside of what I'd expect for its millage.
I'll drive it as long as the transmission holds out! & Take care of it.

i had to sell my 08 mustang bc it was too pricey, local dealership has an 08 lancer and really looking into it...

@@elmergarcia5253 why does it matter that there’s no spoiler, it’s a stock compact car not a race car. I prefer auto but the one in my Lancer is awful (noisy, slow CVT)
@@User-cb4jm cuz a lancer without a spoiler doesn’t look right like the spoiler that comes with the car
@@elmergarcia5253 just add one?! its not that expensive nor hard. i agree it looks better with a spoiler but most don’t come with one. plus the one it comes with is ugly you can easily buy the evo spoiler and put it on.

My lancer didn’t have a muffler when I bought it 😅
Is this car good with lpg ? I cant decide between this car and honda accord same year .The honda can run with lpg . I dont know about this car.
1.5 lpg 109ps 7/100 good for daily
1.8lpg 143ps 11/100 if u are a racer
I reccomend the 1.5 liter engine
Overall good car but it is so loud u can hear everything , the road the engine , wind etc. But overall very good car
As far as I know, the maximum amount of airbags this gen Lancer has is 7, not 9. Driver, front passenger, side airbags, curtain airbags and driver's knee airbag.
