In the game Amumu has several abilities which this cinematic touches on.. the first is called Bandage toss.. throws out a bandage and stun someone. The 2nd is that he literally cries and does damage to everything about him, then he has 'Tantrum' where he spins and hits everything around him and his ultimate ability is to throw out bandages all around him, grabbing hold of everyone and tie them up for several seconds.

I got a "cute" theory about this character actually
because of his curse "everything" stays away from him... it seems other than "killing" everything comes next to him curse also pushes them away
There is a "being" in lol called "Kindred", two personality lamb and wolf they are literally what grim reaper is and they HATE undeads.
usually they tell them "your time will come" etc... but aganist amumu?
they literally say "hey we understand you are alone but... stay away from us"
Excuse me thats literal undead that you were supposed to take afterlife why are you turning a blind eye
Because of this I belive curse doesnt give Amumu immortality, instead its so strong even grim reaper wants to stay away from him so even after his body is deceased his soul cant leave so he wont die...

His curse is that everything around him dies, that's why no one wants to be his friend or even get close to him. I don't know if the lore was updated, but he has a friend Annie (check Annie: Origins) since Annie is protected by her magic. They actually have matching skins in-game. And Amumu has cute but sad voice.
It is said that the shadow wolf in the forest part is also one of the champions (check Kindred: Listen to their Tale | Teaser).
lore wise Annie and Amumu arent friends... and their skins arent matching... Annie has Prom Queen and Amumu has Almost Prom King... focus on the Almost.. sad actually but oh well

According to riot amumu has only one friend: the guy who sings his song...so officially amumu isn't cursed anymore :)
Isnt he becoming friends with Annie at some point, because she is immune to his curse? May be old lore

I believe there was an old lore that said that Annie became amumu’s friend since her own magic/curse makes her immune from death... not sure if that’s still the case with new lores though (Hopefully it is!), also there’s a new cinematic called ‘legends of runeterra: launch announcement & trailer’ which is for a LoL card game set in the same universe! It’s unexpectedly amazing for a card game cinematic 😆 might be worth reacting to!

If some day you run out of LoL or WoW cinematics, i think you should DEFINITELY react to Elder Scrolls Online videos. They are spot on.
If you'll notice, he's killing everything he gets near. That's part of his curse. It doesn't just get dark behind him, that's death.
