Pleased with his penance, Lord Vishnu incarnated in the form of four sages named Sanak, Sanandan, Sanatan and Sanatkumar. He is considered to be the first incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Lord Vishnu had two gatekeepers named Jai-Vijay, who always stood at the door of Vaikuntha and served Sri Hari. Once Sankadi Muni came to Vaikuntha to have darshan of Lord Vishnu. When Sankadi Muni started passing through the door, Jai-Vijay laughed and stopped him with his cane. Angered, Sankadi Muni cursed him to be born in the womb of a demon for three lives. On apologizing, Sankadi Muni said that Lord Shri Hari himself will end you in all three births.
In this way, after three births you will attain salvation. In the first birth, Jai-Vijay were born as Hiranyakashipu and Hiranyaksha. Lord Vishnu took the incarnation of Varaha and Deployed Hiranyaksha and deployed Hiranyakashipu in the incarnation of Narasimha. In the second birth, Jai-Vijay were born as Ravana and Kumbhakarna. , Lord Vishnu had to take the incarnation of Ram. In the third birth, Jai-Vijay were born as Shishupala and Dantavakra. Lord Shri Krishna deployed him in this birth.
