Perfect example why I never ever use a bolt motobike taxi anymore. Pay 86 instead of 43 baht, invest a little more time, take a car. and reach your destination in one piece.

Just did Jomtien to North Pattaya via bike taxi yesterday. If time is an issue the lane splitting can make a difference. But not for the faint of heart. And no passenger helmet. Pretty much a roll of the karmic dice.

Loved the ride. Years ago when I started coming there and got use to thai driving I use to try to follow the motorbike taxi guys around. Great fun but sometimes had to change my undies. Great stuff and we will see you next trip.

The top 5 most harrowing motorcycle rides I've experienced have all been in Pattaya/Jomtien or Bangkok. Bangkok takes #1 as I really did see my life flash through my eyes. My driver was clearly skilled, but he ignored any and all traffic rules and broke at least 10 driving laws driving me around Bangkok. At one point we hit a highway of sorts and he opened it up to go at least 90-100km/hour with me wearing no helmet just a shirt, shorts, and sandals. I was like oh crap.

Yes, more of these video rides would be great. I have done this same route many, many times as I used to live right there just before the Jomtien bus station (small correction to your comment - they don’t go to Bangkok, they go to BKK airport).

Gday T great vlog mate. What is goin on with the weather another cracking day. Yeh ur a braver man than l T l don't do motor bikes any more. A fall many years ago in Bangkok actually. My skinny taxi bike rider decided to try and pass a truck only to find his broad shouldered passager on his arse behind him. He kept goin and l walked back to the Sofitel.😂 l would have physically shit when the bus pulled out.😊 Yep cars for me these days don't mind an extra 10 or so mins on my journey from Pratumnak l will watch a Buzzin vlog. Theres a plug😃. It still amazes me and a perfect example Thappraya Grand Solaire and the very modest restaurants you pointed out coming back with evil knieval.😂 Have a good one catch ya Sunday mate.

Taken motor bike taxis on those roads between Phra Tam Nak and Pattaya so many times. Every now and then you get one of those drivers where you are holding on for dear life.

A few years back I stayed on the top floor of City Garden Tower. Amazing views from Jomtien to Wongamat, but the traffic noise 24/7 from 3rd Road was mental. I regularly ate at Sophon food market. Bingsu desert with mango is loverrrrrrly.
Motorbike shop was Cupid Coffee waaaay back, before it became Walkabout Creek.
I got my last two condos through Prestige Properties. Frank is a very helpful chappie.

Hi Trev, i really enjoyed the ride around. The walkarounds are great as well but with the ride arounds you can cover more ground. And they also offer educational value about the lay-out of the city. It isn't as complicated as it seems. So please keep on doing them. Wasn't that motorbike shop used to be a clinic for testosteron enhancement ? Cheers !

Wonderful steak 🥩 and extensive wine 🍷 list. Very expensive though. I know they were offering 50% off steaks on a Tuesday, so will probably get pretty busy on a Tuesday. A nice romantic place to take your partner ❤

Like the buses, forever. Hourly daytime service to Bangkok airport with pick up points in Pattaya for 143 baht. Takes 2 hours - plenty of videos on CZcams to see details.

A motorcycle taxi never the roads are worse then the wacky races if you ender up in a collision if you were injured laying with broken bones on the road the thais would make you pay Thai baht for the damage of the motorcycle it has happened a number of times of friend's of mine

Give the baht bus driver a 20 note! The most he can earn in an hour, assuming a full load of 10 each way, is 200 baht £5 (before insurance and taxes). By contrast, UK train and tube drivers, earn £35 an hour (£70,000),. And they are still going on strike because they are "underpaid".
