Luke and his allies only thought they destroyed the last Palpatine clone. He could never anticipate the return of Darth Disney or the ruin to the universe he would bring. The most insidious Sith of them all.
This is a masterpiece this and Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi: Dark lords of the Sith. These are just narrated so well I love it so much bravo to the people who narrated this.

Funny you should mention that. Look up a guy called WilkinsAnimatiins. He's making his own animation of Dark Empire. Currently working on Episode 2. Kinda Hanna-Barbera in quality and style, but pretty good. Though, once again, the audio book is used.
Jax's voice actor could be a good joker voice actor (assuming he hasn't already) I love how you use videogzme footage aswell as animation, and sound effects to bring the comic to life
Dude, its an audio drama track laid over simple motion of the comic in .CBR format. This audio drama has been out since the 90's. All he did was time the panels to the MP3. This is why words don't always match with whats being said in the panels.
Stunning. Simply astounding how good it was. My favorite part was that all the conversations sounded so realistic, like you were in the room with them. I think the secret is that you and the author of the comics were just telling a story...not trying to push an agenda, and I thank you for that :)
Why couldn't we have gotten a trilogy similar to this instead of TFA and the Last Jedi? This is so much more interesting and loyal to Star Wars. It enriches the already established lore so much better. Finding out about the Royal Guard training, Vader and Palpatine's methods, and a unique post-OT war that doesn't just re-establish the same 'ol shit as before,

This was really intriguing..i mean if they would have simply followed the Decades of already writen and proven stories of the plethora of comics and novels...they would be the STARWARS we all remember. Instead we got this over CGI PC BS. The attempted eradication of Ledgends was never gonna work and now we onow why...it was so much better than anything they could redcon us all.

I first heard this because of a pair of tapes I found in a dollar store. I still have them and wish that more audiobooks would go the classic radio route of sound effects instead of description. Crimson Empire is still one of my favorite series of all time and I wish these were the stories they chose to tell in the new trilogy.

Rey looks hot, but thats all - she doesn't bring the right vibes...& she feels like very arrogant & like a rebellious girl during puberty - the opposite of a young lady learning & connecting with the force that fast...and she's besides Yoda & Obi Wahn the first one who never got seriously harmed, like cut off limbs or left with deep scars...

Then my mind was *completely* changed. Such a great series. I still wonder to this day how Crimson Empire III would've turned out and if Kir Kanos would've met his end by Luke Skywalker's hand, but CE III never came to be sadly. Also lets be real for a sec: I believe, IIRC, Crimson Empire II was the *FIRST* forshadowing of the Yuuzhan Vong as the one villain of Crimson Empire II, Xandel Carivus was taking advise from flipping Nom Anor *of* the Yuuzhan Vong. Loved Crimson Empire.

Clay Firenza: He didn't reword it as far as I know. He used the audio drama as the core and then animated the comic books and parts of games to create the visuals. That took a lot of work and he did a good job. But, you can read the comics and listen to the full cast audio drama separately if you want to...like a lot of us did when they were first released. haha
That is the problem of a woman being in command of a military operation. Because Sinn would not take the hint to leave Kanos alone, she interfered and got Sadeet killed in the process. And now she blames Kanos and condemns him! Emotions compromise missions!
That has parallels in everything from politics to our current society.. where hurt feelings equal an assault. In the UK words that aren't a call to action can get you thrown in jail.

This is, imo, up there with the best of the motion comics. Watchmen, Batman Court of Owls and the Deadspace ones. Good job..
