Seems a bit easier now, but getting FOUND and Encouraged seems to still be a Challenge. Thanks for considering my thoughts; it's Appreciated.
My Mom, brother, sisters, cousins and family friends all worked at CNE in Toronto. On Aug 29, 1995 I went with my dad down to the EX to see go on all the rides and spend the day, the idea was when my family was done work we would all play some games, visit the food building and check out the new Sega games. When that was over my sisters said they were going to check out this band that was playing over at the band shell, I remember being so small that everyone around me looked giant. All I could see was black silhouettes of people crashing into one another, I remember the Watchmen playing too and not liking them as much as Moist. People always ask me what my first concert was and I always tell them Moist, the follow up is always "Who?" "That David guy?". I'm a music NUT today and love music because of Moist, Thank you for opening the door for me. Will never forget it. -Cheers!

We seem to just keep the good stuff to ourselves up here in Canada. The vast majority of my favourite bands are Canadian ones that don't seem to have made a huge impression across the border, and fundamentally I don't get it. Especially when there are so many other bands from elsewhere doing something similar but not to the same exceptional level. I feel like a lot of it likely comes down to money and promotion, and the weight behind production companies and labels being stronger in the US (which is also why we have CanCon laws, otherwise we'd have these bands steamrolled on our own airwaves too). Moist actively chose not to move to LA and pursue the American dream and I wonder how much that played into it. Now that social media is more prevalent it's easier for bands to break through those walls (like Mother Mother finally getting attention after like 15 yrs of the grind, thanks to TikTok). But a lot of these older bands still don't get the respect they deserve and it's a shame 💜

I’m Happy to say I seen them live in Regina during buffalo 🦬 days exhibition when I was 14 years old my very first concert ever 😊I’m now 43 years old so yeah oh yeah I actually seen them like 3 times 😂ahhh 😊memories
Agreed. I think this one's the Tom Lord-Alge version, and the one on the album on CZcams Music is the regular version (despite it also being labelled as the TLA Mix). Or vice versa. I'd have to dig through boxes of CDs to confirm 😅 The other version is definitely the better version though. It's way more powerful, really does the song justice.

I played the TLA mix layered over the “other” mix (I assume that the “other” is the original. This mix is not the best of the two. It really shows in the guitar solo. This mix has a much “clearer” and shorter solo, missing most of the edge that the original has.
This era and Canadian music was just world class!! its a shame to see there was less support in Canada and hope to hear more of it again.

We seem to just keep the good stuff to ourselves up here in Canada.
