This was an amazing video and so helpful. I assessed where my water was coming from and ordered the intake valve, watched this video and was able to change the valve myself. Thanks so much for making a repair so easy!
Your video was perfect! Thank you! I watched it twice and took care of this repair myself.
You are welcome! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Another great video from AppliancePartsPros. The clear instruction made it easy to replace the water inlet valve on my Bosch dishwasher. The most useful part of video for me was showing how to release the grey mounting bracket by lifting the tab with a screwdriver - left to my own devices I would likely have broken it trying to remove it.
Just replaced my water valve. I tested the old one with some wires, and while i could blow a bit through it, it wasn't working well. The video was great with detailed shots and a good order of assembly. Even though I'm pretty handy, I found the video very useful. Made it easy and now the water is flowing again! I did snug the inlet 1" nut with some pliers, not much though, but just beyond hand tight. Thanks for the video!
Glad we were able to assist you!
Good video. One suggestion, use hair drier to heat the hose ends before removal. Comes off easy then.
Yes. This is the way.
thank you!! i couldnt believe they edited out the hose removal, that’s the only part giving me real trouble.
🎉🎉🎉Thank you for this tip. 🎉🎉🎉
🎉🎉🎉 There are no Bosch dishwasher repair services in my area. It took me a great deal of research to troubleshoot the problem first dishwasher water would not drain. Only after replacing my garbage disposal, did I find the drain hose was filled with gunk. I used a shop vac to suck out debris. Ok, now, the dishwasher drained great, but would not fill. Again, headed back to CZcams to find solution. I found this video, ordered the part, and followed directions to replace part.
Excellent video. Step by step directions made replacing inlet valve tackle-able. The PRO tip to use a hair dryer to soften tube made this job 1000 times easier. Thank you.
You are welcome. Glad we were able to help you out. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
The E-15 code on our Sears Kenmore Elite dishwasher (made by Bosch) was caused by a leaking Water Inlet Valve. I followed the clear and well-filmed instructions on this video to replace it. Thanks for the help1

Was quoted $400 for an appliance service call. Ordered the part for $40 incl delivery and installed myself following step by step this video. So far so good. Everything seems to be in working order with no more drip at the inlet valve. Thanks for the DIY video!
I am handy but never worked on a dishwasher before. I bought the part, watched this video, followed the steps, and had the dishwasher back in place in half an hour. Great instructional video!
Excellent video and great prices as always. Tx for making DIY repair so simple. My 5 year old bosch sprung a leak, had the E15 and watertap lights on. It is now looking good

Great video! Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge! Saved my life. :)
Thanks for putting together such a great video! 👍
this worked great thanks for he video!
Thanks for this video. This isn't the exact same model or design as my dishwasher but the demonstration of removing the valve assembly by pressing the tab with a screwdriver helped me work out how to remove mine. Not 100% sure if that will solve my problem though - getting an E-18 error on a Bosch machine. Will try this repair if cleaning the inlet pipe and filters doesn't fix the issue.
Very well done
It’s common for these Bosch solenoids to fail and allow water into the unit while not in use.
That can sometimes happen yes.
@@appliancepartspros it is the main failure I see in the field
Woo! Thanks, CZcams, for saving my biscuits.
Can you please do a quick overview of those three connectors?
2:50 I didn’t need to remove the fill hose above where it connects to the assembly because it was so hard to remove so I left it there. However I Removed the fill hose where it connects to the fill valve easier by getting to it through the side of the dishwasher after I disconnected the wire and the water supply.
@AppliancePartsPros Hey so I broke the blue wire harness connector. Is there some way to fix or replace it? Thanks.
Hi. I replaced the part, but no the dishwasher won't turn on. No lights on the panel. Nothing. I've checked the outlet which is plugged in and working, but still nothing. Any ideas?
No Teflon tape needed?
4:47 did he cut that hose?
Why do you need to remove the fill hose on the side at 2:50?
This fill hose is connected to the water valve and in order to be able to remove the valve you would have to remove the fill hose on the side there.
I have same issue and can't do it myself. I am not so handy person.
screwed up and pulled the wires out the back of the connector....oh boy
Correction - Missed the other end disconnection.
I did not posted any correction comment!. Someone is editing negative comments. I have replaced first valve b/c it was cracked in the middle ( valve is placed in the tight area where it is pressured against another metal part ) creating the leak, and now I am replacing this valve second time b/c I am getting code 17 ( intermittent fault 90 % of the time ). Bosch quality sucks.
Thank you for the video, but the critical moment goes "cut action" where you remove the hose from the valve. Show me the whole process of screw driver and pulling (and don't mute out the cursing!).
I still don't get why the inlet is plastic while everything else (hose and connections) are all metal parts... cross threaded once, now a $1200 dishwasher is sitting in my kitchen!!
Lol
Bosch quality sucks ( plastic, plastic, plastic, plastic ), - this valve lasted 2 years, dripping water in the middle (end of white plastic and beginning of a grey part of the valve ). Without removing doors cover and front bottom cover first I would be not able to localize exact place of the leak. Got ER 15 when the float hit the sensor, however display in my Bosch is hidden so if it was standing dormant for extended period of time my socks would notify me that something is wrong. Bosch and other companies should add moderate sound warning ( beep every 5 min ) , working together with the leak float sensor.
