    • @iTechRepairs-Ireland
      @iTechRepairs-Ireland  Před 6 lety

      I'm afraid that it depends on a lot of factors i.e.: what soldering hot air station you use, what flux, what soldering iron etc. For the hot air station that we use it's 365 Celsius with 100 airflow.

    • @iTechRepairs-Ireland
      @iTechRepairs-Ireland  Před 5 lety +1

      After replacing a few ic's you get the feel. Also you try and apreciate how the IC was sitting before removing it. And finally if everything is lined up you shouldn't have any shorts and the repair should be successful.

    • @iTechRepairs-Ireland

      Stefano Giordano because that's a known breaking point. Although the pads are atill there the connection is not perfect. Making those jumpers ensures a perfect connection.

    Hi! I did a mistake which I don't know if I can fix or if it can be fixed. I damaged the base band contacts while cleaning off the old solder. Is it possible to swap boards and move both the memory and base band to another logic board?

    • @iTechRepairs-Ireland
      @iTechRepairs-Ireland  Před 5 lety

      It depends what you mean by damaging. and also where. on the ic or on the board? If it's on the board it's pretty easy as you can make jumpers.

  • @Rendraled

    You should used anti heat tape for secure another component its might be drop for to much heating. Protecting another component from heating is important

    • @iTechRepairs-Ireland
      @iTechRepairs-Ireland  Před 4 lety

      I appreciate your advice, but so far we didn't need to use heat tape and no parts got damaged in the process. The temperatures that we use are safe for the components we work on as well as surrounding.

      Temp, air flow, direction, nozzle diameter. Typically, the concerns are simply accidentally reflowing a near by IC.

    • @iTechRepairs-Ireland
      @iTechRepairs-Ireland  Před 6 lety

    • @NikyRipy
      @NikyRipy Před 6 lety

      Thank you so much. At 2:46 do you use 424-LF? Anyway I ask you because I'm use Chemtronics Rosin SD. And when I put hot air on the pads and clean it with braid, The braid tends to open and I can not do the operation well. Probably it's the unsuitable braid, what do you think?
      Hope you understand. Sorry if my english isn't perfect.

    • @iTechRepairs-Ireland
      @iTechRepairs-Ireland  Před 6 lety +1

      NikyRipy yes. I use the LF there. If you don't have access to a good wick you can use a round tweezer and hold it very low. Hope this helps.

    • @NikyRipy
      @NikyRipy Před 6 lety
