I think in this game ETH instructed him to play simple passes and be comfortable. And in the next few games, after he gains confidence, he will try some killing passes. The youngster need to be developed well.
He looks promising no doubt....just like so many other young talents we had in the past...its the matter how that young talent bring himself up...and if he does reach senior 1st eleven spot...maintains his growth....and you can't force a young talent to play as often...you need to ease him slowly bit by bit minutes by minutes until that young talent has the utmost trust from the manager that he will deliver everytime... for now...some cameo on "small" games would suffice for kobbie mainoo...
It’s no coincidence that we have Fred and Scott and also another young talent in Zidane yet Erik has seen something special in Mainoo. Don’t worry about Eriksens if he’s out for a little while, we will get to see lots more of Kobbie for sure.
I really like this guy. His touch is sublime, his passing is crisp, well measured and intelligent. He makes good decisions instinctively - I'm really impressed considering he is only 18
This kid has a lonnngggg way to go… personally I have zero expectations at this very moment. I’ll just trust Ten Hag and the process. I hope he is hungry enough to also want it !!!!
@@obitriceforlife5771 He was brought in to see the game off. Unnecessary to be creative, just needed to keep things ticking. He's quite creative and attacking

Could I play? I'll get you that 100% pass accuracy in that second half against Reading as well... Don't hype him up for nothing.... he's a talent but not based on what you are showing lmao... Shoretire and Hanson-Aaron have better passing ability but they lack the physicality to play in the first team atm.
I would more say a Patrick Viera than a Pogba with what i see so far. Pogba had amazing range and was known for his long shots from academy days. Viera was the more complete so i'd take that any day
For all the praise, he has been disciplined but not yet created clear cut changes nor good through balls in the 1st team matches. Hopefully these things come soon, just like how he did for the U22. Wonder how Zidan has fallen down the order.
At that age if he try those risky passes and fails it crush your confidence big time. I think he does a lot of that in training but Eth want him to be simple till he become a bit more confident and older
The way he passes looks just so diffrent for some reason he curls th ball always a bit and seems to pass to like Side/flat footed idk what other terminology to use here
Is him always focus at safety and step by step to attack from defender to strikers? In this video I could see more short passes safety but no more aggressive straight middle passes to generate shot or 1v1 and some long pass to empty space.
Mainoo Zidane Pellistri (not academy) Garnacho Fernandez (loan) Savage Mcneill Fish Mengi Henderson Galbraith Amad( not academy) Our future might be safe.. These academy players are real quality

Not hard to do in this modern era of dab dab (I've coined the phrase by the way) football where it takes 6 or 7 passes to get a ball from one side of the ground to the other, Bobby Charlton did the same thing with one pass.
1:19 He should have spotted an assist to the striker on his right for an easy goal, but he gave the ball to the winger who had a poorer chance. He is still young and needs to mature.

Whats wrong with Man utd Midfield Academy...
No penetration pass, all side ways, no different from Scott Mc T
Parce que Reading jouait très bas et très fermé. Pas possibilité de faire pénétrer des passes.
