This kind of fishing was rampant in Mizoram in the 80s and 90s until there was no more to catch. Today our rivers are virtually empty of native fish, only a few remain in protected zones of the NGOs. Its sad to see that our Naga brothers are committing the same mistake our parents generation did to our rivers in Mizoram. 😑
