- I visit Pattaya frequently, it is a place I love to spend my free time. Many people have an image in their mind when they think of Pattaya, but there is a whole other side to the city especially in 2022. Just a short drive from the infamous walking street and beach road are some beautiful areas and beaches, Pratumnak, Dongtan Beach, and Jomtien Beach are all amazing places to spend time and also to stay. Jomtien beach is my personal favorite, but I lived in Pratumnak for a while and it surprised me by how much I enjoyed it. #pattaya 2022

100% true and I don't bother to argue or respond to people who say that Pattaya is dirty or seedy. I'm 55, retired navy with a pension and lived with unbearable stress for so many year in the U.S.. A condo rental where I can walk near the beach in Jomtien is $300 a month. THE SAME in San Diego California would be $3000 a month OR MORE. I traded having a car/insurance/gas for $800 to a motor bike for $100 a month. Thai food for 55 baht, cell phone with unlimited for $30, etc etc.

it only took me 15 years of coming to Pattaya to make changes to where i stayed ! 1st it was Wongamat beach very nice beach and overall quiet but not much out your front door than came Jomtien which is really a nice beach city without the trappings of Pattaya central and have found the sweet spot witch is soi 5 p hill.. for short.. enough restaurants and massage and other estb. around to be the perfect area to stay in with nice beaches not overrun or polluted a very local scene .. Iâll be in patts end of April so yer Iâll go have a look at that place. Beach looks awesome and yes Iâm jealous. Always stay in Jomtien at the condo you pointed out. Be there in a couple of weeks on the 24th top floor. Baht bus goes direct to the city. Magic..

Pattaya is a large city. Many non bar areas. Kev of Thailand showed the "darkside". Many family attractions.

Cool Video đ€ I try to tell people thereâs a lot more to Pattaya than the red light stuff but they just donât get it ! Unfortunately people always have an opinion of places theyâve not yet experienced for them selves đ€ definitely an amazing side to Pattaya that not many people talk about and share online đ
How far down do the baht busses run that go back up to Pattaya city? I'm looking at Pratumnak / Jomtien to stay - get away from the madness to get some proper sleep...:)
Great idea man, its sooo good to stay there.. you just need to change baht busses at the start of second road and head in the other direction...

@@poorlybuffalo555 baht buses go by this area and than over to Jomtein beach road from central pattaya beach road 2 up the street from the Walking Street entrance where you can just walk back to Dongtan beach or even soi 5 not far ! and this way you do not have to take another ride up and over the hill.. great video as always and was just curious i always see like its a good time there and going to the bars etc, but what if you aren't a big drinker do you feel like someone who doesn't drink would have fun there as well. Also at the bars and clubs do you have to be drinking to be in there. Keep up the awesome videos
If you are cool to be in a bar, just without drinking, or a setting where a lot of people are drinking then itâs fine. The bars wonât make you drink, there are also plenty of activities you can do that donât include drinking đ

It's a quiet Part with amazing beach Clubs and the best view ever.
Not a Party Hotspot but a nice calm place to relax.
Totally different to the rest of pattaya

I always normally go straight to Pattaya is a fun place to be. I be there on 5 March, spend few days in Bangkok 1st and do 1 day quarantine. Arrive at BKK on 2 March. Good news 2nd 5 day quarantine been scrapped. So should be at the Buzzin bar in Pattaya on 5 March!
Post your experience after...., have seen those who say that suddenly test says positive, that they must quarantine. Did you get a deal on a flight?
@@michaelg6641 I tested negative at the pcr test at the Bangkok hospital for Day 1 test and go. I got taken from Bangkok airport in a minibus taxi alone and done a drive through pcr test. Then got taken to the quarantine hotel. Got my negative test result the next morning at 930am, by phone call from the hotel reception. They gave me proof of this with a letter from the hospital and was free to go. Also given the ATK test to take on Day 6, which I do today, 7 March. Now in Pattaya.

I live on Pratumnak 6, it's a great area, also down there nearly every day. Great live music bar on 5 called Bennie's. DOM is a nice Farang restaurant on 5 also. Worst thing they did was let cars drive along that front strip, jammed when it's a busy weekend but its handy for bikes to nip into Jomtien
People get down there when the bars close as that big 7-eleven sells beer till midnight, even got table and chairs outside like a mini beer garden. Yeah you let the secret out, but quiet at the moment anyway

Been to Thailand many many times, I mostly stay in Samui , never been to pattaya, been told that the ocean not real clean there, is that true
As you get just a bit further away from the city center either towards Wongamat Beach or the other direction Jomtien Beach no issue with swimming ! though the beach in central pattaya has been fully restored and is still nice to relax on and grab some food or even watch a sunset.. yes its not samui but in some ways its better as there is so much more to do and without the trappings of island pricing.. That's the gay boys volley ball game from the bars in Jomtien, we used to see them at 6am on our morning walk playing after they finish work in the bars, some very drunk volley ball, lol.
