Impressive tactical sense of Laros. Looked like Ingebrigsten...
Thought the same thing at first with the relaxed low arm carriage, but the celebratory gestures (outstretched arm finger wag, fist raised across the finish line), sealed the deal. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Ingebrigtsen is someone he looks up to and aspires to be.
72.7 first 400 might be the funniest thing I've ever seen. And these guys aren't 4:20 runners, most of these guys have PBs under 3:45.
By my calculations he covered the last 800 in 1:47.2, which, if correct, is insane. It would probably be enough to win the 800 final.
The camera angle did not show them hit the line @ 700 meters, but it was fast.

Although the camera doesn't show the line, you can see the clock showed the leader's split in 2:09.51, when Laros was third - so 1:47.27 leader-to-leader, a touch quicker for Laros.

That's gotta be like a 38.4 last 300 from Laros. Shit's crazy.
But the time does matter. It serves to prove that it is not wise to turn a 1500 m race into an 800 m race against someone with more speed.
