We are Joe and Liisu, relatively new to CZcams but really excited to be a part of this community. We live small and sustainably in my home on wheels (a lovely van called Freyja) and from time to time out of our backpacks (we have not named the backpacks yet). On this channel, we ask you to join us on our travel adventures off the beaten track where we show you the beauty of untouched nature and wander into places most tourists don't dare to go.
A few days in Istanbul will make anyone feel better no matter what they've been through.

Hahh, Yea, it was a long time coming with our little "side adventure" to the Maldives, but I must say that it feels lovely to again be in a familiar culture again, but I am sure we will get itchy feet soon and probably by the end of the year will once again be in some more "exotic" place 😁.

I just came across your videos and I love how enthousiastic you were about people following the traffic rules. I am traveling to India and Nepal in October/November and it made me so sad to see the way they treated you in India. I'm hoping I will come across nicer people and that it was just some bad luck.
Also, I love the colour of Frejya. My father used to own a sprinter van in the exact same colour and it brings back fond memories.
What a wonderful adventure. I thought driving in Mexico city had its challenges. Nothing compares to what you all went through in India.
Yes have to agree Turkish food is incredible. Love the desserts in Germany. Only a fraction of the sugar they put in everything, here in the States. Oh and the bread 🍞 😋 Truly taste bud friendly 😊.

I'm a digital nomad and I totally feel you about India, I never heard a full great story about it while I was travelling and most of my friends said it is a country where you have it in your checklist for once and that's all. Anyway, sending love from Copenhagen now!

You three are great. I like your narration too. It is to bad that you couldn't make to Japan, and there were places that were not nice to you, but at least on camera you kept your cool about the setbacks and problems. The friends you met along the way and the ones that helped you get container for the van were great. Going North will be good and can not wait to watch the video's.

Ohh after years of traveling we don't lose our temper that easily anymore, but I'll be honest, we had to leave few shots our of this video as well due to yelling between us and the gas station manager (it wasn't nice 🤣)
And I totally agree. The friends and memories made on the road are much more important that the final destination itself 😁👍

I live 35 minutes from Oslo. Sorry, I do not use Instagram. Enjoy Oslo! Consider me a "if something bad happens"-person, I am sure you will be fine. ;-) You probably know about the flooding, not very visible in Oslo, but going towards the west might still have some issues. Be safe!

Today is the first time I saw your vlog and I must say you do an amazing job with the editing, narration, videography. Kudos. I am sorry to hear that you guys found troubling people in India. I once had the gas station scenario. The manager asked one of the employees to go with me to the nearest ATM and take out money. I dropped the guy back to the gas station once we withdrew the money and paid what was due. The shepherds blocking your path was very uncool and I don't know what they were thinking but usually people are more welcome towards tourists. I guess it was a coincidence that you met more than your share of the bad ones. The traffic situation is bad in India and is one of the most difficult thing that Indians face on a daily basis irrespective of the economic section they belong too. I had a question...How do guys fund your travels? Do you work seasonally or is CZcams money enough for your travels?

Ohh Yea, I guess we just had bad luck in India nothing else.
But to answer you question we used to work hard before this journey to save up enough for about 2 years so currently we live of savings, but CZcams is slowly starting to contribute as well and we hope that this trend continues and we can one day call ourselves full time CZcamsrs 😅.
But I guess the key is just to spend as little as possible 🤣

How funny to see you in Germany. And yes... the trains are a bad... Now, while wild camping is not allowed in Germany, it is possible, if you only stay one night at a time. Especially in areas that are not as densely populated (i.e. Eastern Germany) there are usually big parking lots close to forests or sights that can be used nicely for a night of wild camping. ;-)
Wow. That is so good to know, I just googled it quickly and didn't feel too comfortable to stay for long.
But we are in Scandinavia now and here it is allowed pretty much everywhere which feels liberating 😅

North Germany is always grey and mostly rainy. I knew immediately that you’re there. 😉 After some years you accept that you can only have great weather when you leave the country.
Sorry that you did not make it to Japan. But you can also try the northern route thru Russia - Vladivostok - ferry to South Korea and ferry to Japan.
Funny thing about shipping costs. I met a guy with a van from Switzerland who told me it cost less to ship the van to Halifax (Canada) than it would cost to ship the van across the Darien Gap from Panama to Colombia.
Yea, the prices between north and south America are crazy!

I have heard there is a "hospitality" law where you are allowed to camp on private property - not in the cities, but in rural areas. Perhaps you could find out details of the law: where and how you can camp in all three countries. Anyway, your trip sounds very exciting. Good luck with it.

First of all, the best food is in Serbia (heavily influenced by turkish food) 😊, second of all you can get mangoustan in market chain "Fresh" (Grand Frais) in France all the time
