Renegade, you're the shit bro! Way to spread the love and give dude a positive comment! Shows you're not just talented but also gracious, because you could just keep all of that love(from the multitude of faithful re-mix viewers) for yourself...
+TheGood Shepherd I never liked the PSP version, and don't see how it was seen as Godly by so many... The changed story lost a lot of what made the original great, they had to voice act EVERY time you attacked, the Mavericks' personalities and voices were rather unexpected as well. I wish they had kept the story more like the original, as well as the music (I hate the remixes), and instead added story elements from the rather emotional Rockman X manga.
I grew up playing the DOS port of MMX on a PC. It sounded like ass compared to this, but I still loved that OPL-3 FM sound. FM synth and MMX just go together.
lilpastasalad What made it worse, was that the OPL3 was also a LOT more complex than the YM2612. The YMF262 on top of having four op modes (and 2op for Adlib backwards compatibility) had eight selectable waveforms (double of the YM3812), one being square wave.
Wyatt Epp FM always sounds cleaner than Samples. The thing is Emulators never do FM Justice as your soundcard does have to samplerate the crap out of that high analogue frequency that FM chips provide :).
Well, you're telling me to listen to more 2608 (aka The Best Chip Ever), so maybe you're all right after all. I'm not sure where you got "Meg Music", though; no one I've ever talked to calls OPNA that... o_O
This is so clean good work!! Only listening on my fone speakers but still sounds good

You and Savaged Regime are like the Genesis Masters of FM and Scrappy Doo loves you both.
The base line sounds way better on the YM2612 to me.
And people say that FM Synth sounds like crap. Love your work. :-)
In the right hands, YM always fit perfect for gaming purposes.
Awesome rework gecko!
manuelink64 Wait, this is from GeckoYamori?

Hello there Gallium. Please welcome back our Lord and Savior, Sir Gecko Yamori.
I shall, Sir Spiral.
Salutations, FM Knight Gecko! We have waited, with bated breath, for your grand return.
Welcome back to the Genesis remix scene~
This won't change there opinions. Those people never change
Been a few years and I still come back to this. Easily the best rework of this track, love what you did with the bass line.
agree, that bass is delicious
I think I actually like this better than the reworked version for the PSP for Maverick Hunter X.
The entire soundtrack of PSP Maverick Hunter X sucks. Also the American voice of X is so annoying...
Don't like this version....
Never played the PSP version either... The sound is kinda off to me

rofl what the fuck does that have to do with MMX
Those drums tight af ❤
*OH JESUS FUCK I NEED TO CHANGE MY PANTS*
Schweet!!
Any chance of uploading those amazing Super Metroid Megadrive renditions? I'd love to hear them again.
This so awesome! It honestly sent chills down my spine
I think that's the way it really was made to sound, you rock man! Hehe
I see what you did there XD
Now I badly want a Genesis port of Mega Man X.
Your wish is coming true!

Awesome and full bodied!
The full body is legitimately the *best* part of this remix. Do you know how difficult that is to do with Genesis hardware?
Holy shit
HOLY SHEEEEEEEEIT. This is amazing.
Sega rules
When Excalibur was pulled from the stone this is the music that played as it happened!
still a better song than twilight.
Oh, and I am subscriber number 337.
Great, great, great!!!!
Damn this is good...

Better than the original by far
Is that fucking awesome!!
This is the dorkiest thing ever and it is fantastic.
Génesis does what Nintendon't
Oh hey, someone doing 2612! This sounds surprisingly clean; what are you using for output, specifically? And what tools?
He HAS to be using FM Drive from Aly James!

DehnusNorder You've grossly misunderstood the thrust of my questions. Also sampling theory. :(
Wyatt Epp Aww, don't give me a Sad Face, listen to some more FM and good Meg Music (PC98 Music) and get a happy face again C:.

No robot farts here, man.
Awesome channel. How the hell do you make these remixes? Is it from scratch or are you just remixing the original track with a sega sound somehow?
probably some sort of tracker
Braze Heatnix please
