It’s feeling good this year. All signs are pointing to a better team. The culture is different. Listen to these coaches pumped up. These players saying things are simpler and it’s fun to come to work and give their all. But we haven’t made it yet until we get the proof going forward starting this season

AP is a very smart man. He saw how John Madden Coached and learned why Madden was so successful as a HC. Madden treated his players like men and let them be their true selves. It's no wonder why these players love him.

I will certainly miss Jacobs, because I think it is important for an offense to be able run the ball PHYSICALLY late in the season and wearing the defense out. However I like what Zeus has done in the games he’s played so far. He sounds humble and confident, and I look forward to seeing him running the ball for us, hopefully he can be the type of guy defenses have to account for in the box.
You dont think Mattison and Zeus run physical? You need to watch some more football. Josh was a GOOD back who had ONE great year. Losing teams hold onto running backs longer than they should. You dont pay the running back especially not one that has been hurt almost every year like Jacobs.

@@JanoyCresva nowadays I only watch the Raider games so I will agree I’m not as knowledgeable on Mattison. When I said being physical late in the game, I mean him being the type of “bell cow” premier running back that everyone knows is going to get fed the ball.
I haven’t seen this from him yet, he’s a good running back. There is still a whole training camp and preseason to go, but I think the team is going to a running back by committee run game rather than what I was saying is important deep in the season when defenses aren’t as healthy.
The point I was trying to make was that Jacob’s was the type of running back that everyone knew was getting the ball and yet still managed to gain positive yardage for the most part, as the game progressed. I’m not saying one main running back is better than rotating 2 or 3 running backs, but I think it helps an offense a lot to have a guy like Jacobs late in the season.
Jacobs was a stud but he is not worth $48 mill. He will be on the sideline in GB by midseason nursing a bad hammie or whatever. Zeus is a hammer and has some wiggle.
