- Here it is, after all this time I'm finally going to show you all that I did out on History's Alone season 3 to win that $500K grand prize. And I'm not just going to do it in broken bits and pieces; this is going to be a re-enactment of my time out on Alone Season 3, but as if I did it here in Maine where I live. I'm going to build it all over again: all the shelters, traps, fishing, Duck-hunter 3000, spoons, And even the Rake but with the resources that I have here on my land in Maine. On the actual TV show you see only 2 - 2.5 hours of my 87 days out in Patagonia. This time I'm going to do it all for you in detail.

AND THANKS FOR WATCHING
#Survival #BushCraft #87DaysAlone
They should do an allstar Alone. You and Jordan would be HEAVY odds on favorites
I love this series! I enjoy the nostalgia of watching REAL MEN document their survival techniques. There is nothing boring about this, I loved every moment of it ☺️
You need 2 watch Married at first sight now that's real survival 🦸♂️🦸♀️😝🤣😂
Paranoid Audience In my opinion, Married at first sight is utter stupidity 😂
Just finished watching the whole Season 3 of Alone. Absolutely brilliant when your wife came to you in the end. You are a Legend. Well done mate.
i love how excited you are over your $16 shovel. goes to show, sometimes price doesn't mean everything. also, great video
God bless Zack Fowler!
Fowler you are a LEGEND
Thanks!
I watched that entire season. My husband and I were rooting for you! Congratulations!!
Fowler...man,you are the ultimate survival guide.Attention to detail is on point brother! 👏 👏 👏 Hope you get to show these skills on TV once again.
Looking forward to the 87 days series , I think making this series will bring more people to the woods to create memories like you have.
That is my hope I love to make stuff And encourage people to make stuff
Kudos to your perseverance for 87 days and winning Alone Season 3!!! Looking forward to the progression of this series to get a glimpse into your mindset and creativity while out there. Incidentally I also consider my Cold Steel shovel an invaluable tool and it took the place of a machete in my pack because quite frankly I feel much more capable all around with the sharpened shovel. As soon as I saw you had one with you early in the show and could think outside the box, you became my pick to win. Congratulations again!
Thanks !
That's also how I choose the winners.
Hello Zachary, great video my friend.
Thank you for sharing. You are quite the survivalist. Please take good care of yourself. All the best to you and your family, stay healthy. 🤗
I love your excitement as you relive this experience.
I have never heard of this series "Alone" going to have to look for it.
Cowboy Spade first one they did was on Vancouver Island 👍
Yes sir lived here my hole life !
Looking forward to the rest!
Thanks Looking forward to makeing them
Heyyyyyyyyy
I love too watch y’all’s adventures 🙌🏾
Bro mischief Fowler Zachary. Blessings. Love your channel and following you always
Cool man. I can't wait to see how this all progresses. It looks and sounds pretty darn interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
I love how you took into account the "synergy" of having cutting tools that your multi-tool could sharpen. I hope you show some of that in upcoming videos!
As to people criticizing the shovel, remember: "if if looks stupid but it works, it isn't stupid"
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Thanks yeah I'll cover as much as possible I don't know how long the whole series will goBut I'm thinking right up into this winter And maybeInto the winterAnd talk about how Patagonia's winter Wasn't very strongButHow I was prepared for itAnd what I would've doneIf it ended up like means winters
i LOVE that shovel!
Your production quality is getting better! Looking forward to this series. Keep up the good work :)
Thanks and i was pritty unhappy with it had light and focus problams
I can honestly say, I fully agree with you Zach. The shovel is an excellent survival tool. I would of done the same thing.
This is exactly the video style I like to watch. Great to hear you discuss your ten items, too bad about the sleeping bag not living up to expectations. Looking forward to this series Fowler!
I have been a little unfair On the sleeping bagIt was burly water assistant as well But nevertheless I would not recommend itUnless you only had $100 then it may Still be the right choice forThat price range
I've carried a shovel in my Wanigan for over 30 years. Most underrated tool.
it’s incredible to see how far you’ve come! The show was awesome but i wish they had one of just you. Please continue to make these videos because you always put a smile on my face. I know i’m a little late, but better late than never! Best of luck!
Your duck hunter was awesome to watch on the show. And your walking stick is epic!
Pretty Epic Bud! Great first video!
Thank you
Thay wasnt boring at all. You inspire me.
So looking forward to this series. Glad you are doing this. Thank you for sharing.
No problam its just me going out and having fun and then home and having fun editing
Clifford Wright *problem
@@gamingwithjacob8927 He has dyslexia I believe, or at least he said that when building his shelter on alone.
And yet no one seems to bring a shovel in the following series. I always thought it was a great idea.
Unfortunately I don't know how I missed you on alone cuz I love that show and I'm so glad you won the money anyway I love your videos and you're fantastic father your great example for the humanity I really appreciate your prayers you know you're teaching people many things you really are I just want you to know that I think that you're fantastic person and a father
I searched Zachary and you were the first one to pop up. You're awesome love your videos!!!
;)
I love this idea of you recreating your experience. I learn so much from watching and listening to you. Thanks for all the info. and insights you share with us.
Thanks for watching
First thing I did with my cold steel shovel (I got it years ago) is sand the varnish off and replace with mineral oil. Much nicer on the hands.
I love your CZcams videos don’t worry what other people say about your Shovel your a legend
hey brother, i will be the first to admit that the first time saw you with the shovel I thought dumb. Watching what you can do with it , i got to get one!,
Thank you Fowler! For all the videos. Am so looking fwd to this series. I was "diggin" you as soon as I saw the shovel! I've carried one for like 20 (?) years. Congratulations !! BOBO out...
Thanks for watching!!
I loved your 30 days in texas survival playlist series on youtube keep up the great work!
thanks
That is how I found him, too. Day 16, I think. The day he got the .50 cal air rifle. Binge watched that, then binge watched his season of Alone and now I'm back here for more!
Mr. Fowler, thanks for sharing all of this good stuff! Love my Coldsteel shovel as well!!!
Ya its the best almost edc for me if not on my person always close at hand
Fowler's Makery and Mischief I have to admit that I bought it after seeing you use it on the show. I can't really EDC it as I work in a federal building in Canada but it follows me on all my none-lightweight trips. It is a great tool! Again, thanks for your vids, they are excellent quality and I specifically love your humility. Good day to you.
I have the exact shovel, very solid shovel... stays sharp and the edge won't bend at all.
I bought your shovel, the pot, and the ferro rod from amazon and I'm gonna go camping with that gear once this crisis is over
Thank you for the inspiration- jose salazar
Oregon coast here, pacific ocean, siuslaw national forest, did not see you on tv because i have not owned a tv for 16 years now / but i enjoyed your video ... glad you won
I just found this channel and I can't stop watching it 😁
I came across your channel while googling sling and slingshots, and I watched a few of your survival videos. I saw this playlist and decided to watch it, but not before watching your season on Alone. I finished it in two days.
Your careful planning and thoughtfulness is one of the things that won you that prize, but I think it was also in large part your personal resilience. I'm still making my way through S2, but S1 winner was exactly who I thought it would be--another resilient and joyful individual with a sense of humour and an ability to be mindful of their decisions. I wish forever that I had the skills you do, because I would apply in a heartbeat--not for the prize, but for the journey. I probably wouldn't last a week, but I sure as hell would try. ;) Fowler, I congratulate you on your victory--well deserved, and well earned.
Thank you
i found greg's and your channel before i heard about this show and i kept wondering why you guys were always talking about pategonia
I think this is your best video. possibly second cause when your daughter really thought the wand you made her was really magic. tops. looking forward to the rest of these. see you in October.
Thank you
Love how you brought your coffee with you.
I do love my coffe
Fowler's Makery and Mischief *coffee
brilliant. not boring at all. can't wait till the next installment
Thanks
hey mister Fowler, great show, thank you for sharing this with us.Iam looking forward to your next episodes.
Thank you I look forward to making them all.
Always love watching you and your vidieos
Having owned one of the Cold Steel Special Forces shovels, I have to agree with you, It's darn amazing. A bit heavy, then again, 2I'm steel. Awesome.
ya man thanks for watching !!
I work at a shipyard and can attest that the flat band cordage you use is awesome. Cinches knots so damn well.
Watching with you guys all vidieo s again
This will be interesting to watch. I know making videos is a big process, thanks for taking the time to make them.
Awesome video my friend. Thank you for sharing. The best to you and family. Take care and be safe out there. Congratulations!
At this point you should have 1 million sub
Love this. So much gets left behind due to airtime... It's great to see this.. closely resemble myself to alot of things you have built
I can’t believe I just started this....I’m gonna b addicted for sure
The military would love to have you...you're a survivor!
I don't know about the military but maybe a Mars Mission to set up a first colony ;)
If you go to an Alone all stars competition, and your wallet is deep enough, consider the Bison sleeping bag by Western Mountaineering! I know it's super duper pricey, but it's rated to -40 degrees and I can tell from experience, that it lives up to the reputation!
I know it's made with down and it doesn't work when wet, but it has a hard shell that keeps it from getting damp.
You'll stay warm throughout the night, even without a fire. This thing is AMAZING!
Awesome, have been looking forward to this series. Can´t wait for details on the Duck Hunter.
Ya me to its nice to be back out there making stuff.
Cold steel shovel 16 bucks.....now he said it that shovel on Amazon is £36-50 pounds...the cover is £15 extra...& £6 delivery...we're talking 4 times more expensive...can you tell me before you announce a product you used so I can buy them all & then re sell them...gosh..
Sleep bag knowledge. The first number is the risk of being cold 20 or below. The second is comfort 29 you will still be warm at 29 and above. In between those two numbers mean nothing in my opinion, because it is getting closer to your risk number of 20. That being said, the sleeping bag is probably great. I think you just picked the wrong one. Next time, "Pick a higher risk number." Meaning a lower number. 0 and into the negatives.
pls try to make videos more often. i loved this video. I'm 11 right now and I'm planning to go bushccrafting with my dad so this was also helpful
Every Sunday morning And maybe a short one during the week
I really like how you brought the Cold Steel Combat shovel! I finally have vindication!
I would take the handle off the new one, and put it on the old one.
I thought about it but I'm extremely sentimental
It would also be easy to bushcraft a new handle out of and commonly found hardwood in the forest.
So.....excited......also congratulations on your win.......and loved all the things you made, you need to auction a few off ,those you made while on Patagonia.
Yeah they're all staying in my little display case so I can show them offWhen I go and speak and exhibitAtShowsAnd/or speaking engagements
for 2rd day bein a new subs. gonna watch this tonight..engross in all your vids..learning with it also
Excellent vid, brilliant to bring the shovel.
Thanks!
Yay it's finally out! Looking forward to the series great first episode I'm really happy your putting out videos keep up the good work
Thank you
you give me serotonin woodsy boy🖤
You had me at Space Wizards.
Who would say the shovel is useless?? The entrenching tool (aka shovel) should be on everyone's list. It's an extremely versatile tool. Though I prefer the collapsible version, for a number of reasons.
I always wanted to move to Maine. I'm a city boy, moved to the country... but farmland country not very wooded. I'd love to live that kind of life in the wilderness, testing and practicing skills. I am jealous for sure.
Started watching from the slingshot videos then the remake of 87 days then i watched it on history channel series I admire ur attitude mine is similar positive attitude warrants positive outcome. Love it. My girls are close to ur girls. Love fishing and building I’m a metal fabricator so a little different but similar. Great stuff tks
Thank you so much for making this series, I will watch every single video, my beer and popcorns are ready !! greetings from Croatia! All the best!!
Hey there Zachary! I have to say, I've never watched Alone.. But I've stumbled upon your channel today and I'm glad I did. It's great to see these videos. Going to start catching up on this series!
awesome thanks for watchin
Subbed! Glad you're doing well and I look forward to hearing about your adventure. Best of luck with the channel.
Thank you!
Great video just started watching your stuff on here. You have a definite Talent for filming .looking forward to seeing more .
Cool thanks for watching
Hey Fowler good to find you enjoyed your time on alone can't wait to get to the rest of the vid take care brother
Brazil loves Fowler!😘
Fowler, just so you know, your casting video is no longer available on the link provided. If you have it in full, please upload onto your channel, I'd love to see it. Obliged.
In the military, in infantry training, the folding shovel was much better for fighting than a combat knife. We used it for all sorts... From frying eggs on a fire to blungeoning things...
As a fellow Mainiac,,I am proud of you.
Fowler you are a legend
thanks :)
I agree I love taking a diving tool with me
This isn’t survival, it’s luxury camping! Lol All jokes aside, I love the content you produce and the knowledge you share! Happy trails my friend...
In the history of the show Zach's like 1 of 2 people to bring a shovel, lol.
I think it's useful, doubles as a hatchet even.
this is going to be fantastic.
Thanks
Fowler don't forget to snap your suspenders! That's what got me routing for you since the beginning.
lulz.....shhh, don't give that stuff away, I haven't watched the series:)
Bushcraft Baxter right! I was already rooting for Fowler but that suspenders scene really cemented my decision.
I'll shoot good point I will have to include that in the third episode
Unfortunately I didn't catch the show...And now I'm kinda glad I didn't, I get to watch thru your eyes. Afterwards, ill go back and watch, but the re-enactment is much more engaging for me.
Cool think the show was pretty awesome thinking you will like everybody build a lot of stuff But it's also frustrating how little they show
Great job. There were lots a rocks on the bank of the lake. Were there crawfish under the rocks along the edge?
Hi pal look forward to seeing the rest well done jonah from Scotland 👍
Hey Scotland thanks for watching
I'm watching every episode
Why not something like a Black Widow catapult? I find the arm stabiliser and extra power really helps.
I’m watching all of your videos and I’m trying out for Alone.....Awesome!!
I miss this kind of content from Zach. 😢
Awesome man, keep them coming!!!!
Will do
Great overview man I look forward to the upcoming videos.
Thanks
Cool to find you again brother! Loved watching you kill it in Patagonia! This should be more fun with morning coffee!
Great video as always Zach
My main tools are a Silky Fox Bigboy Outback Saw, a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe, a Mora Companion Heavy Duty and a Cold Steel Special Forces Shovel.
I also carry an original Leatherman Supertool, a Victorinox Swiss Champ and a Leatherman Micra.
Depending on things, a Silky Gomboy Outback, and a Gransfors Bruks Wildlife Hatchet may replace the Silky Bigboy and GB Small Forest Axe.
Travelling light, a Silky F-180 Saw and a GB Mini Hatchet are my preference, along with the Mora Companion HD and CS SF Shovel.
I generally prefer the Silky Fox Bigboy OB Saw and GB Wildlife Hatchet for their capabilities and small size.
In truth, the saw, hatchet, knife and shovel, together with my Leathermans and Swiss Champ provide me with a range of capabilities, definitely into the 'Limited By Imagination Only!' category...
Seeing what Zachary achieved with knowledge and the minimum of tools is hugely inspiring, and although my fishing kit comprises of two sets of Military Speedhooks and a NATO Fishing Kit, I think its well worth learning more and practice, practice, practice.
I can think of no better review of the CS SF Shovel than what it achieved during those 87 days, although as a Brit, I'm still not sure about throwing my shovels and axes, but do appreciate that it may be fun, but to my mind, one simply doesn't treat one's tools this way!
87 days here we go I’m excited
This is really neat.... dood.. !!
