- Greetings to my subscribers and visitors! The holidays are over WHEW!
It was a busy time for me, I suffered a cold for the first time in about 5 years just after my birthday, no less. I've read in the comments that many of you also had colds! I hope you've all recovered and are doing well.
I finally was able to finish this Tangerine Dream-like tune I hope you like it. While ill and bedridden, I watched the Tom Cruise movie "Risky Business," and the Tangerine Dream tune, "Love on a Real Train" caught my attention again. It's one of my all-time TD tunes! So, I took out my UltraNova right in bed and started to toy around with some sounds. Eventually, I recorded some audio and blended it with Omnisphere and Plugin Guru samples to get this tune.
And I want to share it with all of you!
It has many layers, and it starts abruptly, due to my editing out a long intro which made the song too long, IMO. I cut out about 45 seconds from the beginning and about a minute from the end. All in the name of brevity (I tell myself, LOL!). The animations were also two minutes longer as well so the editing process was extensive. I hope you will enjoy this shortened version even though it is four and a half minutes long.
The theme is Furry Friends. I specifically asked the AI to create an animation with foxes, cats, and humans. Humans like to dress up as furry animals, and usually, cats and foxes are the popular choice. So, I hope this little video does the Furry Nation justice.
It's whimsical at least, LOL!

Yes, but, I used Omnisphere and a bunch of sounds from Plug-in Guru layered over my original UltraNova recording, which was mostly fingering an arpeggio. I usually just use the Nova for practice and I rarely ever use it to record anything. It's just okay, compared to the great sounds that I can get with Omnisphere and Unity. 'thanks again! Cheers!

As for the length of the track, being so beautiful, I think you could have released it in full!
But it is true that sometimes one runs the risk of boring the listener...🤔
I have sometimes been asked to make my tracks longer, but then I see in the statistics that very few listen to the end...

Thank you, Aldo! Sorry for the late reply, I've been very busy and barely have had time for studio work or youtube. But, today I got a full 9 hours in my studio and 2 new songs and a new animation. The weather is horrendous here with ice and snow ankle-deep! I am taking advantage of the foul weather and taking a rest, LOL! Later today, it's now about 4 am, I will make the video and upload the new tune...that's if I survive shoveling a truck load of snow off my driveway! LOL!
I agree about the long tunes. I have several that won't ever be published because they are 30 to 50 minutes long, soundscapes. Can you believe that some YT channels have ambient tunes that go on for several hours? And many people praise them for 'soothing music' and ' relaxed vibes!' And the sites have thousands of subscribers with hundreds of likes and comments.
I've considered making another YT channel just for Ambient soundtracks, long, boring, repetitive sequences just to see if people will like it more. It won't be musical, just ambient sounds for relaxing, with a basic drone with rain, thunder, wind, waves, rustling of trees, etc. sounds for solitude and meditation. But I barely have time to do what I am doing now...😀

Oh yeah! Of course I believe you! I know them and some last 3 hours or even more... I don't have the patience to create those things, my ears ask for variation and my fingers on the keys usually ruin that atmosphere I intended! LOL...
However, I have sometimes used those publications to help me relax and fall asleep.
Well, I hope you take care of the cold and your colds with that hostile climate. Here in the south, however, we are in stifling heat... but luckily at this very moment there was a storm that hopefully cools the air a little! A hug my friend and continue with great creative spirit to amaze us!
