We love this curriculum... I don’t use all the things that come with it but I follow a lot of it’s philosophy... great review !

Thanks! Yes, it has helped us so much. This is definitely one of the better curriculum options.

LOVE THIS! Perfect video! I have a 3 year old that is at this level. I will add this to his writing curriculum. What else would you recommend for this age? Any good manipulative? Etc?

Thank you! I used the Letter of the Week curriculum from Confessions of a Homeschooler for both of my younger kids. It is a lot of work to put together, though. I also love Leap Frog's Letter Factory DVD for learning letter sounds. That's how all of my kids learned their letter sounds. Magnets, puzzles, counting bears, and sticker books were big hits with my kids, along with a lot of read-alouds. I recommend considering what in particular you want to work on with your preschooler. Letter sounds? Fine motor skills? Counting? Colors? Choose a couple of things and then use whatever toys/books your kids have at hand to work on those. I had great results with my youngest at that age with only 3-5 minutes a day. I hope this helps!

I am new to HWWT..where do you start a 4 year old and how much does it cost. Is it self taught with books? How do I order the program? do you reccomend an easle ? or a desk? Do I order things individual or as a package. I am so new to this and helping a kiddo to write.

You can order from the Learning Without Tears website, or possibly Amazon. I would start with the materials I describe in this video. Just a plain desk or table is preferable.. There are packages that you can order, but be careful because some are targeted for the classroom teacher and have materials for many students, not just one.

This was a long time ago but where did you get the box for the wood pieces?

Probably Michael's. I like to get my plastic storage boxes there because they're often on sale and they have a variety of sizes. So I usually buy their storage boxes for manipulatives and puzzles for our homeschool.
