Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video 👍
These guys are rough, tough and tumble, as is their gravelly voice. One of the hardest working men down under. RESPECT 😊
It can be a great job if you get in with the right mob. Now retired but I enjoyed my time behind the wheel.👍
Thanks for this invite into your life!!
You are welcome Peter, glad you liked it.
Thank you mate for letting me be your passenger in this video and greetings from Berlin Germany !! 👍
Glad you liked it, greetings from the land down under.
Nice professional video, thanks for the insight into Roadtrains and Australia.
Thank you.
At 8:35 mark it looks like you had a strap come off a trailer coming out of the depo. I remember as a teenager watching a driver backup a triple like this around a corner and then around into the block of land we were building a house on and the last trailer had all the roof frames on it. Everyone was in awe of the drivers skills and he made it look easy while many of the old boys waiting to unload it where talking trash towards the driver after he told them he could do it. They all ate their words lol.
I had left my work gloves sitting on a dolly and it was the gloves that you would have seen falling off onto he ground.
Reversing a road train, two or three trailers requires a lot of skill. Something you need to be doing all the time or you tend to become very rusty at it.
I watched one of your caravan videos once where you had that little cartoon of a car with a caravan behind riggling behind on this miniature road map, just like the double decker buses cartoons of London, and your houseboat adventure on the river Murray. Mick I am 77 years old, I have been in Adelaide since Jan 1969, have driven a semi for Karri timbers a little bit, a truck for Cocks Foyes, and a 6 ton Thames for Black and white taxi trucks at mile end, yet I finished clothing designing college in Sydney, where did the time go, and So soon to, things are changing So fast, yet Truck diving still stays the same, and without you guys everything seems to dwindle down to nothing again, thank you again for your videos Mick, and keep up your good work. Mick
Thank you for your kind comments, all the very best.
Now retired after some 35 yrs trucking 🎉really enjoy your videos keep up your great work.
Cheers, now retired myself so no more trucking for me🙂
Hello, I have a request: How can I obtain the addresses of companies hiring truck drivers? Can you help me please? Thank you
@@mohamedaiad9723 You will have to seek the Employment Agencies to the area that you wish to work from.
I can feel my testis shrink merely from the thought of driving one of these monsters.. Amazing drivers.
Only respect and tons of it.
Thanks mate, it is like riding a push bike, once you have done it a few times, it is easy.
What a professional team! Two really good drivers. Been a trucker myself in the UK for 35 years, nice to see sensible commentary and no bullshit.
Glad you liked the video, thank you for your kind comments.
What a great vid. I am impressed with your no bullshit attitude. THE MUSIC.... Mate, the music is superb, well done..!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Tandemwings, thank you.
This was a super video. Very nice. Good and explainful commentry. Wonderful scenery, good music and awsome roadtrain. Greetings from Norwegian Trucker.
Thank you Birger, glad you enjoyed it. A new truck video will go up on the channel tomorrow.
You road train drivers are a tough bunch, thanks for keeping Australia moving!
Thank you.
Beautiful Scenery! The Highways are impressive, The planning in this company seems to be second to none! Love the Road Trains!
Thank you Ralph, glad you liked the scenery.
Well done guys, greetings from New Zealand.
Thank you Rudy, greeting from Australia.
i went to Australia as a kid and my favourite memory was just as we were coming off the nullabor plain from Perth to Adelaide we came to the territory checkpoint as the sun was just coming up and saw all the big rigs waiting to cross with their stacks smoking and i hope to go again because there is nothing more majestic than seeing a road train crossing the beauty of Oz.
How could one not love an Aussie built Kenworth! That’s a good tough looking prime mover and a terrific bit of filming, very interesting and very well done 👍👌
Glad you liked it James, thank you.
I love these vids so much. And gives an impression of the Australian landscape. Much more beautiful than here in the Netherlands. Well done Mick.
Cheers The Dark Zone, glad you liked them.👍
Just a beautiful video showing professional truckers at their best. No grandstanding or noisy look at me nonsense. Chilled and understated like you’re going down the shops to buy some milk and a loaf of bread. But on a 6K drive. Good work fellas👍
Glad you enjoyed the video
👍
First time ever seeing a road train (opening scene of crocodile dundee) i was absolutely amazed, been a fan every since.
This has to be one of the nicest videos I've seen. Simple without exaggerated commentary. What a beautiful truck and wonderful journey you make through Australia. I wish you all the best and thank you for this video. Greetings, Peter from the Netherlands 👍
Thank you Peter, glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Peter I'm from UK originally,. emigrated here to Australia in 1968, served in Germany in 1956, and visited Nijmegen, many times, theres more posts on youtube about Australia, try a site called “Landline” you’ll like it
How often do you drive this route, time off between runs?
Agree and will never see Mick and his other driver on Out Back Truckers
I have the upmost respect for all you truckers, thank you. Maybe my cousin Doug, will be on one of these 👍
cheers
Memories of a co-drive with brother in law with two trailer road train back in '89. Townsville - Darwin - Townsville. Driving south at sunrise with Bon Jovi playing, A great memory.
@doug
hello how are you doing
I would love to Drive there here in the states we have so much traffic that a peace full trip Stay safe keep on trucking
There is a lot more traffic now than what there once was but I guess compare to America, we have nothing.
Truckies on the road
Means the world is running properly
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Gbu mate
I just love the Australian secenery. Nice music, thx mate.
Glad you enjoyed it
Dedicated keeping Australia on the move.
Thanks Wayne.
Guys if traveling out there and you have a radio use it these boys always let you know when it's safe to pass them credit to the ABC drivers...keep up the good work boys
What a beautiful country we live in ! Thank you for the upload, great presentation!
Thank you, glad you like the video.
14:39 for all those who like an innuendo moment :P
Just got my HGV licence in UK, though I would love to do this kind of truck driving, I imagine those long straight roads test your mental ability to stay awake, and I expected the turnings to be challenging but the three trailer doesn't need as much room as I thought, great vid.
Glad you enjoyed the video, the long straight bits are not all that long in reality. The sunrise is the tester to staying awake.
Thanks for sightseeing of rural Australia. All the best.
Cheers mate.
Beautifull Country. Congratulation!!!
Thank you very much!
Awesome little video .. very relaxing and a nice break from the world at large !
Thank you !!
Can't believe he drove all that way on the wrong side of the road without incident though ! :)
Glad you liked the video.
in australia you drive on left your steering is on right hand side
@@gurkiratkaler2929 I think he was having a joke with that - he is probably from North America or parts of Europe. 🙂
Fair dinkum! You show a great side of Australia most will never get to experience. Replying to the various comments made on CZcams also make you make this even better. Good on ya!! Good career change and you and your wife bringing it to the world in this way I take my hat to you both.
Glad you liked it James, thank you for your comments.
Thank you. awesome. I live in Darwin and 1. My brother did the same job and I saw him do some of the work you showed and loved seeing him each week and was in awe of his work and 2. always appreciated the really bloody hard work you people do so we can get fed (and other stuff). A big thank you. also, we have driven this stretch quite a few times in 26 years and now I want to do another road trip!!! A great video, so glad you were able to do it. I know you missed many "hard work" bits :). cheers
Thank you for your kind words Jane, glad you liked it. Take care when out on the road.
Mick, good I watched 3 1/2 days in a Roadtrain, I got to know you retired, I wanted to come to ABC Transport in Adelaide and say hello to you after I watched 7 1/2 days in a Roadtrain, I met Jeffrey Bull from Bulls Transport Pty in rehab at Hamstead road rehab center in Oct/Nov in 2019, Great man he was, he tried very hard to keep himself positive because somehow he must have known he didn't have much time left, it was very very hard to know the time came, he died at home I think few days after being let to go home. Mick you Truckers are Great people, you drive through though sealed roads, the country around you in Australia is still very uninhabitable in most places and very unpredictable nearly all the time, when I was little I went to school with Aboriginals in La Perouse Botany Bay Sydney in the 50's, I hope you and Sally have a GREAT day today, and thank you for your Christmas greetings, I hope you two have the VERY BEST too. Mick
You appear to come across with a very positive attitude there Mick, keep up the great spirit.
Mark who I drove with for many years prior to retirement also worked for Bulls Transport for many years.
Whilst I never made it this far north it brings back some great memories of a road trip I did about 20 years ago. Fantastic country, would love to go back again. 👍
Oh god, Australia is so vast and so empty!! I couldn't see any traffic outside of the cities....ok, before you think this comment is weird, I'm from India.....
Hats off all road train drivers.Cheers from Perth
Cheers to you jamz.
Beautiful video. I watched it with tears in the eyes, what a beautiful country with such a magnificent beautiful truck. Was a lot in Australia but every time I am stunned by all the beauties it has to offer. Cannot wait to go back! What I saw in this video is absolutely my dreamjob in the next life! Rg, Alex van Nimwegen, Netherlands
Glad you like it. There is another one coming out this coming Sunday.
Beautiful vidéo beautiful Australie

Greetings from Malaysia. What a great video, how lucky we're nowadays we could see the outside world without getting there (eventhough can't beat the real things). Magnificent journey and views. tq

Glad you enjoyed it David.
Your an absolute legend! Love your videos & safe travels 👍✌️

Finally! ABC has one beautiful T610SAR. Looks mad A. Stay safe out there on the road.
Thanks for the ride, I envy you. I’m a retired trucker in the ‘Old Country’ and would love your trucking life. Wanted to move to Australia years ago, but the other half wouldn’t leave her family. Ah well, that’s life. Safe trucking 👌
Thanks 👍
I have seen the beautiful 🎥 film verry-verry nice and what a amazing truck soooooo big and the colors and chrome work my compliments the land is so BIG again: manny thanks for the film greetings j.j Nieberding from the 🇳🇱 Netherlands
Greetings from Australia, glad you enjoyed the video & thank you for your kind comments.
This is very nice vedeo to watch. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it Sathya
My brother emigrated to Adelade a few years ago. One of the things i'm really looking forward to seeing when I get out there is these Roadtrains. I'll definitely be hunting out the ABC yard. Really enjoyed watching the video, thank you.
Glad that you enjoyed it.
You'll need to get north or west of Port Augusta, 300 km north of Adelaide, to see triples. In SA they're only on the Stuart Hwy up to Darwin or the Eyre Hwy across the Nullarbor to WA.
The song ‘give me forty acres’ comes to mind.
Huge respect & gratitude to our truck drivers for keeping this country running! It simply wouldn’t be running if it weren’t for our road train drivers that’s for sure 🤠 👍 Thank you 😊
Thank you Eli
Great example of ordinary men without whom civilisation would end. One of these men is worth a hundred politicians.
Thank you for your kind words.
Wow, Australia is a vast and beautiful country, 6000km is quite a good cross country trip.
We enjoy our weekly run with something different to look at each week even though it is on the same road.
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure
Great video. Beautiful, scenery, music and truck.
Thanks, glad you like it.
Respect for your work
he is really doing an amazing work
hope you doing good
Well done... Thanks for a simple, matter-of-fact video and music that didn't sound obnoxious. Nicely edited and planned camera angles, as well. The scenery reminds me of the territory I cover in our Great Plains states... 28 years here and now hauling blades and other oversized loads. It seems to be where a lot of old-school drivers end up, for the kids coming out of our driving schools these days often act like they're driving a sports car.
Nice looking truck, by the way... It makes me miss the Peterbilt 379 I came out of into a KW T800, though I don't miss all the polishing lol. Thanks for sharing and be safe out there.
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Very good video.. from the American trucking industry... well done.
Glad you enjoyed it. Another one will be released either tomorrow or the following day showing some of the other things we see during our Darwin trips.
Beautiful video of beautiful country! Stay safe and enjoy the view! 62 tires! That’s a lotta rolling.
once again you are the master when it comes to this sort of thing .......sad i cant do that trip but i still enjoy vanning round SA
I really enjoyed this video and the music you have picked compliments it so well. Great job, I look forward to watching more of your videos.

Another great video.

Just watched and an Excellent watch..as a past linehall driver in New Zealand I thought it was as excellently put together
Glad you liked it Marty, thank you.
A wonderful journey! THIS is proper a adventure. 6k kms in just 3 days, way faster than train maybe considering you had to take a break, rest. Love those roads but can be scary as well due to high temperature and animals crossing, keep the eyes peeled all the time. Hello and all the best to Aussie truck driver brothers for their next adventure!
Glad you enjoyed it.
